Leather Craft Tool Hole Punches 1+2+4+6 Prong Lacing Stitching Punch, Craft Kits (4mm)

Always wanted a way to make even holes for sewing leather. I saw somebody using this in a video and had to have it. Works great.

I can't say that I use it very often, but when you need it, you are really glad you have it. Well made, sleek, all metal and a great price. For what it is, and how much it costs. it's perfect.

I just used them to make one purse, and towards the end, The teeth started bending. It did get the job finished though.

The punches are sharp, thick enough for 9-11 oz leather, and the varied sizes make it easy to prepare stitching holes for straight runs or curved. I particularly like how the slits it punches in the leather are angled, which I imagine makes the seam stronger than other punches I used which make parallel slits. I used it to make a quiver for archery practice. The images I included show the effect of using this product, not the product itself. I should also mention that the punches in the first image were homemade ones I made to decorate the leather, not this product which punches the stitching holes.

Been using a hammer and nail to put holes in leather for years. These leather punches make it a hundred times easier and more accurate and a good price.

I got this set of pricking irons, and they were great! At first. After several knife sheathes, I noticed that the pins, especially on the 4 and 6 irons, were starting to drift and bend. They were easy to bend back. But once steel starts to bend, it is easier to bend again and again. So I remembered that the listing said these were "Carbon Steel." This implies at least Mid-Carbon, 0.4%->0.6%. Hardenable steel. But it's not. I normalized the irons in my forge, then tried to harden it. First I tried oil. Not hardened. Then I tried dunking in water. Not hardened. These are great irons, for cheap. And they'll last the beginner a good while, even if they keep unbending the pins. But it's mild steel, not carbon.

Great product and very well made.

The 6-prong feels next to useless because not all the points want to go through the leather. I've only used it twice before sticking with the 4-prong and using the 1 and 2 to finish.

The Leather Craft Tools were delivered within the estimated time frame and appeared to be of good quality, sharpness, and ease of use. It is of ideal material for what is required, but still, it is early days to make a judgment on the durability of the tools, but so far good.
