Works as it should, good replacement

I got this to replace my old Dell Latitude 5300 2 in 1 laptop battery that had corroded and obviously was no longer holding charge at all. This battery was the exact match for the old one, and comes with the extra screws, screw driver, and prying tool needed for installation.The battery comes (as advertised) without the battery cable. I didn't want to reuse my old battery cable as I didn't want to risk it having any defects so I bought a new battery cable separately.The battery cable needs a little bit of muscle, skill, and patience to pry out and fit back in to the laptop and battery ports. Several attempts and Google searches later, I was able to get it to fit right (the first time I installed it, I didn't push the cable into the laptop port deep enough so my battery report was showing that "no battery was installed" - turns out I just needed to push it a little harder until it was completely snug in the port).The battery is at 61% (~ 7 hours remaining according to my laptop) now that I installed it which is a lot better than the lifeless battery I was working with before. It took a bit of training for me to install (this is the first laptop battery I replace on my own), but I would say it was worth it!

Fits and appears to work just fine. Installation was easy.

UPDATE-- The Fancy Buying seller is a good seller, they worked with me and made things right.Original review:Battery came charged to 57%. I put it in but the laptop wouldn't charge it. As the instructions say, I let it discharge. The laptop hibernates at 5%, so I left it on watching a live YouTube stream. Later, after the laptop turned off, I plugged it in and powered up. I expected to see the battery charging indicator, but I didn't, it won't even attempt to charge the battery, says 0%. Now I have a brick. I'll try to return this brick and find a different brand battery.

I installed battery when I got it the battery indicator on the battery showed full charge but after installing it only showed 45% and would not charge so as the instructions stated I discharged the battery to 5% and tried to charge again now it shows 0% on the laptop and still will not charge. tried to contact seller their phone is disconected and their website is down due to domain being unpaid for.

This battery is only showing 76Wh of capacity, not 97Wh as advertised. The mounting holes also don’t align perfectly. It works fine though, seems to hold a charge well and had no issues while stress testing it by gaming.Other cheap batteries I’ve tried wouldn’t charge and gave me an error for “not a genuine Dell battery” on startup. This is for a 10 year old laptop I only occasionally use so I can’t justify spending $150 for a genuine battery.
