Excellent turtle Food
This turtle food was highly recommended and my turtles absolutely love it. I soak them first in water in a cup and it's pretty quick to soften up. You don't have to but my turtles happen to love it that way. It's a very healthy turtle food.

Best Turtle Food I have Ever Tried, Never Turning Back
I have a Florida Soft shell Turtle that I keep in a 60 gallon tank with an API/Rena canister filter rated for 300+ gallons and this food keeps the tank real clean. I also have a canister of Tetrafauna turtle food for my outside sliders but they have their water dumped and replaced every few days and so they do not have a filter. However, I know that Hikari is a highly praised brand for koi fish and turtles so my inside turtle gets hikari. I ran out of Hikari at one point and I gave tetra instead thinking why should I pay more for Hikari when I have like 10 pounds of tetra? I was so wrong. Two days into giving my soft shell tetra, it completely clouded the water and made the water look disgustingly unclean. Aquatic animal husbandry is one of my main hobbies and having unclear water does not fly for me. I can't stand the sight of it. So when this happened I ordered Hikari as fast as I could. After about 2 days again of replacing the food to Hikari I saw a major difference in water quality and it is back to being nice and clear. I'm not knocking Tetra as far as nutrition and quality, though for me Hikari is still superior, BUT for filtered water systems, this brand is amazing and better in that aspect than Tetrafauna turtle food. I would also like to add: I've smelled all different kinds of turtle foods throughout the years and this one is by far the freshest smelling. It smells heavily of thyme and lean meat, almost human food quality like. I can't quite explain it. If you order it you'll see what I mean.

PERFECT Solution for picky turtle
World's pickiest turtle approved! My turtle is extremely picky and will send himself on a hunger strike if you don't give him exactly what he wants. (For example, if he wants a waxworms and you give him black soldier fly larvae aka calci worms, he won't eat them. Or regular frozen shrimp chopped up instead of salad shrimp. Or Mazuri instead of Zoo med. Etc). He never says no to these though. So these are always my fallback plan when he refuses his varied diet. One of the perks for me is that it doesn't disintegrate after getting soggy and doesn't cloud the water a single bit! Win win. Hoorah!

Great quality, but don't overfeed!
This is a superior product but caveat ! You must not feed this to your turtle every day! If you do, it will accumulate in their gut and cause a blockage! My turtle almost died and suffered prolapse and bleeding. He couldn't eat for 6 weeks. I thought it was okay to feed him an amount the size of his head, daily, but ITS TOO DRY and TOO MUCH! Instead, feed him half the size if his head and wait 3 days at least til the next feeding! This stuff is concentrated, requiring extra time, water, and basking to digest. If your turtle isn't basking half the day, being active, swimming, then hes not digesting. Important to remove any uneaten product after a feeding as it is heavy and thick, and won't make it through your filter strainer. The added filter bacteria in this product is a plus. Its apparent that it aids in growing the live filter. Some people only feed once a week. It depends on how active your turtle is. I say stagger their diet, using this as a supplement, but not at the same feeding, giving natural foods, like meat, veggies and fruit, with Hikari to balance it out. your turtle will thank you. There should be better instructions on this package. Hikari is superior, yes, but if you feed your turtle too much, or daily, you're risking its death! Just be careful!

Great food
I’ve used several turtle food varieties and a number of them cause very obvious odor to the water. I’ve been feeding this diet as Tokka’s staple for a while now, and the water is for free. She loves it too! Although that isn’t necessarily saying anything, since she’s a bit of a pig that greedily eats anything I offer.

Finally!
Turtle: Female Slider, 5 years old. I was having a hard time getting my girl to eat very well and was trying different things. She's a shrimp fan but I wanted something more complete. I saw this was supposed to be good on your water and thought I would try it. As you can see she has been scarfing it down wonderfully to my great surprise. The sticks float well and don't seem to make a big mess compared to other pellet type food I've tried. I bought a smaller bag as I wasn't sure what her preference might be, but she really likes this, will certainly buy again. I cannot quite attest to water clarity just yet as we basically have an overkill system running already to keep her water clean. The food however floats well. She loves it, probably one of the most liked I have seen her try. I wasn't sure how it would go over with her, being a pellet food as some we have tried she just got tired of, they made a mess in the water and she had a hard time eating. These are a good size for her though and based on her eating habits with them they must be pretty tasty.

So I was a little apprehensive about how my turtle would react to new food. He tends to be very skeptical and avoids the new stuff until necessary. This time this was not the case. I mixed some with his old food and he actively sought out the new sticks and avoided the previous ones. I will be purchasing this more often.

This food is amazing, my turtle really liked it. Earlier I was feeding some other brand food, although she was eating that too but it seemed unwillingly. But with this food she starts eating as soon as we drop the pallets.
