I am new into the home barista game but always loved the videos I saw of the bottomless portafilter pull so I bought this product. What attracted me to this product over the hundreds of other bottomless filters is that I liked how they advertised that they use real wood and that you can see differences in the wood grain in different batches. Upon receiving the product I was impressed with the quality of the handle (beautiful wood handle and arrived with no splits or damage) as well as how sturdy the metal head and the connection between the handle and the head feel.The only reason I took off a star is that I found that my pucks regularly got stuck easily in the included basket. Also, the puck always seemed to be on the watery side which always caused a mess when trying to dislodge the stuck puck. However, I switched out the basket for the original basket that my machine came with (which has a taper to it compared to the straight walled basket that is included) which I found works great with the head and fixed the two issues I mentioned immediately.Lastly, the included puck screen is very high quality and works extremely well. The only reason I haven’t used it more is that it is on the thicker side and is thicker than the puck screens I already had which changed my shot times when going in between screens. Since I can’t find where to buy the screen on its own so I have a few to switch between I have had instead had to stick with the thinner screens that I have more of.Overall, this was a great purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality handle at an affordable price.
