Best panel door bit set
To use this bit set properly, you need at least 2 1/2 HP router with variable speed. 3 or more HP is recommended but variable speed control is a must have. For best result you have to adjust rpm: 17500rpm for rail and stile bits, 12000rpm for panel bit. Variable speed is much more important that HP.If you don't set the rpm as recommended in DVD, which is included, it's possible for you to get injured or mass up the work.Good router table is also a must.Instruction DVD is very helpful to avoid any injuries and to get good result. I tried to used this bit without watching DVD, all work pieces were massed up and hurt my fingers. After watching DVD, everything goes flawlessly. I made a real nice panel door from the first try by following the instruction on DVD.You may need good clamp set for glueing rails and stiles.Recommend this set to anyone who wants to make cabinet doors.Back cutter in the panel bit helps a lot to make the door in good shape.Spend few more bucks to get the bit with back cutter.

High Quality Bits
This is a quality set. The rail and stiles bits cut clean and are long lasting. The panel raising bit cuts clean in all grain direction. I just finished 25 hard maple raised panel doors with this set and was happy with the results. Worth the price. The instructions have the proper settings for speed; follow the instructions.

Quality beats quantity any day.
Amazing router bits. I will never get cheap bits again. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to router bits. I went through 2 other sets of the cheap bits here on Amazon and both burned the wood. Then I broke down and spent the money on these and omg they went through the wood like butter without any burn marks. Quality beats quantity any day. From now on I will only get the best and not have to worry about if they will get the job done or not.

Pricey, but works perfectly
It's pretty costly if you're going to make 3 or 4 cabinet doors. But it works great. Good instruction on how to use it, how to set it up for all kinds of situations, too. And it makes beautiful raised panel doors.

Ordered Twice - No Instructions or CD as Shown in Either Set
Great blades reason for 4 stars, but would've been nice to have received the instructions and CD that is supposed to be included. Phone number for customer support is wrong in Amazon, it's actually a landscaper on east coast. Went to Freud website, downloads are not the same as another person posted in the reviews.Update on getting instructions: you have to create an account on the Freud website, go to products, find the bit set, click on downloads and they have the full-on set of instructions shown in the reviews. Phew!

Freud bits did not disappoint
I have been a woodworker for about 2 years now. This is my first raised panel cutter. I like the fact that it come in a nice case to keep everything together. It came with a DVD (tiny size) and a large fold out pictorial instruction sheet. Lots of pictures make it easier. I planned some oak to 3/4" thick by 2" wide. I drew up my doors and thought I had all my measurements. However I forgot to add 3/4" to the length of the rails. After I looked back at the directions I could see it clearly detailed this instruction.I was surprised how many different profiles were available. I found it easier to go directly to the Freud website to compare the profiles. After using the Freud set I am seriously looking at getting new router bits. My cheapie MCLS set just doesn't compare to the quadra cut.edit: after a year of occassional use I am still quite pleased with them.

Received a well used set
Received an open box, thoroughly used set with broken box and missing instructions and CD.Wondering how did it got listed as New, instead of used good.

Rail and style bits are an exact match
The tolerance on the bits is very tight. I milled up 20 raised panel doors out of MDF and they are spot on. Joints fit very tight and square. I dry fit one door together and they fit so tight I had to use a spreader to get them apart! The panel bit is quite large. It cuts the face and back in one pass. You will need a large router to power it, I wouldn’t use anything less than 2 HP. Very pleased with the results.
