Twenty Little Amish Quilts: With Full-Size Templates, by Gwen Marston
I found Twenty Little Amish Quilts: With Full-Size Templates, by Gwen Marston, extremely helpful and informative for my needs. I am not Amish, but I am a quilter who is intrigued with the delicious art form. Having been recently gifted with an assortment of solid color fabrics, I decided to try Amish Quilting. I really didn't need an elaborate library of books, just an introduction. This book is the perfect venue not only to learn a bit more about Amish Quilting beyond pictures and folk tales, but the little quilt patterns held within are just the right size to try the various techniques. I like the fact that the color portrayals are only in the very front and very back of the book, so that you can better see the structure of each design, and then use your own color scheme from there. The book's simplicity is it's success. If you only want a taste of Amish Quilting or are looking for another book on the subject to add to your library, this book is for you.

Start small and work yourself into a large size Amish quilt. You won't regret it. Try stitching one of these by hand, not machine and see the magic come alive.

This is a basic book not one with actual projects.
I enjoy the Gwen Marston's early books even though there is not much in the way of color that I expect in new quilting books. This book has basic patterns if you want to explore Amish Quilts.

Twenty little Amish quilts.
Fantastic condition. This book is wonderful I enjoy that they are a smaller size quilt. Patterns select fun hard to decide which to start with. Highly recommend this book!

Great book on tiny quilts!
I love Amish and I love dolls, so this book was a must! Now I have patterns to make tiny Amish quilts for my dolls. Even just to sit and look through, it's a great quilt book. A very good addition to your library of quilt books.

Beautiful Amish Patterns for DollHouse-Sized Quilts
The little Amish quilts in this book are stunning, and now I will be able to make these for a doll house I am still putting together. It will be beautiful inside and out!

Good For English Paper Piecers
Readers may be interested to know that the templates included do not include seam allowances. You have to add them. This is perfect for English Paper Piecers who like to add a little more than a 1/4" allowance. However the templates are on paper in the centre of the book, rather than the card stock templates in one of the other books in this series. Another reviewer said the patterns were boring. They may seem so in black and white but you can enliven them any way you wish with lovely colour variations. That said, there are colour examples on the inside back and front covers of the book.

Brilliant Book
This book is ideal for me, as I have four granddaughters and one great granddaughter, (as well as grandsons and great grandson's) so I can use the patterns in this book to make small quilts for their doll's cots.
