how well can this laptop do with games?

A 2GHz CPU isn't very good (that's less than half of what the CPU in my gaming desktop), but this laptop has an actual graphics card, which is a plus. Even though it's a laptop graphics card it will be much better than Intel's integrated graphics bs. Don't be disappointed though, there are plenty of really great games out there that do not require much in terms of hardware. You should never buy a laptop specifically for gaming imo, get a cheapish laptop for school, etc., then save a little more for a gaming desktop.
