UX Methods: A Quick Guide to User Experience Research Methods

As a Graphic Designer we are always in search of fantastic reading material and resources that keep us up to date on the latest trends and changes in the design world. This book is nothing short of that. After my first read through of this material I was inclined to keep it and store it with other important texts on my desk at work. (This stack of books doesn’t often have material added to it, perhaps 1 out of ever 10 book purchases). Needless to say if you are on the fence about picking up this book, go ahead and jump off that fence towards the purchase. You won’t regret it.

This makes a great quick reference when you are planning your data gathering methods for a project. Just the right amount of detail.

This book is a UX field manual. It's very matter of fact, concise and practical. It's the most useful publication on UX I have ever come across.

A good guide book for beginners. I like the way that it provides examples for every method.

There is no title text on the spine, so when the book is on a shelf with other books, you can’t find it. This frustrates me greatly.Overall the interior layout is fine, but it does have that self-published look & feel.The contents are brief (as indicated by the title), which makes it handy for quick reference. Obviously this is not a comprehensive guide to UX, nor was it meant to be. I find it most useful for quickly explaining a UX method to stakeholders who are not familiar with UX research or why it’s needed.

Great easily digestible book on UX processes for both novices and professionals in the field.

Great book for someone getting into UX and needs a giant list of 50 research methods. Clear, concise, with diagrams and pictures.

This book is comprehensive and easy to access. I find myself referencing this book at least once a week.

Quick is right. This is a short read but gives you the headlines on a lot of options.
