CHILLFLEX Menthol Soothing Cream- Doesn't present like medicine, but worked
Apparently, I've had a picture of how these should smell, look, and work and this didn't fit it at all.Though it lists Menthol, Peppermint, and Eucalyptus on the front I was surprised to find a spinach green gel, that's fragrant like a shampoo or lotion, with no medicine scent at all.The feel of it is a little more like what I'm familiar with though. It feels cold to the touch and when applied that chill feels like it's being absorbed.Despite not presenting like medicine, it seems to be working. My husband has used it a couple times for a sore neck and the pain has gone away shortly after application.

Not cooling at all in a menthol way, only in a gel way
I was looking forward to using this as a relief to my shoulders, but this did not have any cooling effect at all.It arrived in twin pack, all tight wrapped inside and out, which I really appreciate, and it didn't leak in shipping process, which I am thankful for. The gel inside seems to be have herbal extracts, thus the color is kind of dark. However, the gel itself does not have any menthol smell or feel to it at all. It states on the box that it has 3% menthol, but I can't even feel 1% of it. The instant cooling relief that I can feel from using this gel is the gel cooling effect. As with any other aloe vera gels, you can get a bit of cooling effect after application for the first 2 minutes or so. The gel doesn't smell menthol but it doesn't smell bad wither.I am giving this 2 stars because it does not do anything that it says it will do. Especially it mentioned that it has 3% menthol and I can't even smell it. I do appreciate the nice packaging and the clear ingredient, instruction, and expiration date. For sure, my shoulders did not feel relief after using this, because it can't even pass my skin test.

Watery green slime
The media could not be loaded. First off, this is a green odorless gel, not a cream. It looks disgusting and feels like the same stuff you put on when you get a sun burn. Super thin product almost watery like texture. Except it does absolutely nothing. No feeling to my skin and I'm pretty sure I could rub it inside my nostrils and not smell anything. Even with a discount applied, I still wound NOT recommend. BAD.

Disappointment in a Tub
The good thing about this product is that, unlike other muscle rubs, this does not smell. It has barely any scent at all. But the bad thing is that this is totally ineffective. It is a thin gel that really is more of a moisturizer than anything to relieve pain. My muscles actually felt worse after using this, but my skin was a little softer. Despite menthol being the first thing on the ingredient list, you cannot smell any menthol. But the shea butter and sweet almond oil are good moisturizers at least. The product page says this contains peppermint, but there is no peppermint in the ingredient list. The directions tell you to squeeze this onto your fingertips, yet it comes in a tub that cannot be squeezed. The product page and directions have many things that do not apply, and this is way overpriced at $9 per tub, especially because it does not do what it claims. Because of this, I can NOT recommend this product.

Short lasting, not so strong
This was quite a bit too subtle for me—only very lightly mentholated, so I didn’t have much of a sensation, which in turn meant I didn’t feel much relief. What little I did feel seemed to disappear in under half an hour. Fragrance wasn’t overly strong, and the gel feels and looks a lot like mentholated aloe.

Doesn't work!
I usually use a brand name gel for my aches and pain but I was out of it and wanted to try something cheaper. Well, you get what you pay for with this gel. I was hoping for a soothing, cooling, menthol smelling gel that would help with my knee pain. Unfortunately, it is a watery gel that not only does not smell like menthol at all, but didn't relieve any of my pain. It was only cool when applying but went away after a couple of minutes. I believe that was because of the gel, not the ingredients. Highly dissatisfied with this product. Back to the more expense stuff.

Pass on this one
I don't know if this went bad? Or if there was a mix up when manufacturing? This smells more like hair gel than like muscle pain relief gel. There is a very strong perfume smell, not even a tiny hint of menthol, peppermint, or eucalyptus. As you can see in my pictures, it's a very dark, greenish-gray (?) color. When it's applied to my skin, it just feels like a water gel, not cooling or mentholated feeling in the least. This product has probably been one of my biggest disappointments so far.
