Fun Track That Keeps Kids Busy
Summary: Easy to build, durable, and a great value—just a bit tricky to store.Pros:Quick and simple setup with clear instructionsKeeps kids entertained with an interactive activityGood value for the priceOnce assembled, the track feels sturdy and stays together wellCons:Not designed to take apart easily, so storage can be an issueYounger kids may get tired since the lever needs constant pumping to keep cars movingOverall review:This little track turned out to be a fun and engaging toy. The setup was quick, the directions were easy to follow, and once built, it feels nice and sturdy—it doesn’t fall apart during play. It’s a great way to keep kids entertained, especially since they stay involved by working the lever. The only downside is it’s not easy to take apart for storage, and younger kids might get tired of pumping after a while. Still, for the price, it’s a solid buy that keeps kids busy and happy.

My sons insisted I give this 5 stars
My short review is that this is a fun and clever Hot Wheels track that has kept my kids occupied for hours. They insisted I rate it 5 stars because they love getting to crank the speed up for the cars to whiz around the track faster and faster. About the same time they got this track, they got a similar one from a different brand that's motorized and they barely play with that one. There's just something about doing it yourself! This track is built from new "speed" track pieces that are slightly thicker and snap together harder than the old ones. I was relieved to see that it came with converter pieces to attach to the older style of tracks, so it CAN still be combined with them if you choose. But of course doing that would ruin the main function of this track, which is the little race track curves. And I love the racer cars the set comes with; they're heavy-duty and really whiz around the track.I don't love that this set is hard to store; it doesn't fold or easily split in half or anything. But for $43 (at time of review), it's a good time.

A home run by Hot Wheels!
This Hot Wheels Formula One Race Circuit is a huge hit in our house! It uses kid-powered propulsion, which means no batteries and requires a small learning curve to master the track operation. Once my kids figured out that the secret is keeping the launcher at an optimal speed, they were off to the races. My 4 year old can power and play the launcher with ease within 20 minutes. The track quality is solid, easy to assemble, and the design keeps the cars zipping around smoothly. Noise level is reasonable and becomes silent within a few seconds. For the price, it’s great value, the build was relatively easy, just need to match up the parts and the included instructions were clear and easy to follow. Once build, the track is durable and does not fall apart.Functionality of the track is quite fun, there is a flag that counts the number of loops and as soon as the number is met, the gate locks and a winner is determined.I think this is suitable for kids in the age range of 4 to 6 years old as my 6 year old joins in on the fun too.

Great & frustrating; sturdy, easy assembly; takes up a lot of space
The media could not be loaded. This Hot Wheels racing set is great, then frustrating, then great, then frustrating, then frustrating, then great, then…. The reason for this is that sometimes the cars don’t make it up the hills or flip or slide back down so you have to start the race over. This happened frequently. When it works, it truly is great. In racing mode, you put the flag up to its highest level. Each time the cars go through the gate, the flag drops down one slot. When it gets all the way down, it triggers the gate lock so the cars can no longer go through and the first car at the gate is the winner. You can also play in infinity mode by not raising the flag. The race will go on until you press the stop symbol on the lever which then keeps the gate from opening and ends the race. Again, the winner is the car closest to the gate.I love that no batteries are required. The cars get the boost to go through the track by you pressing down repeatedly on the booster lever. The key I realized to getting the best results is to keep the booster going quickly. Press it 3-4 times rapidly right after each other before starting the race and keep pressing it rapidly throughout the race. It is pretty cool when it works.Assembly is pretty easy once you realize that the underside of the pieces are labeled. So you put the “G” end of one piece into the “G” end of another piece. There is also a diagram in the instructions. There is one small sheet of stickers to attach. I was glad I assembled it without the kids. The pieces fit well and stay together (but also is difficult to take apart). It is a toy that you leave together instead of take apart and rebuild frequently. Therefore you will need the space to play with it and to store it. Its finished dimensions are roughly 21 x 38 inches. The cars that you get with the set can vary.My opinion: Whether it is a good choice for your child will depend on whether they can handle the frustration if the cars don’t make it through the race, can keep from putting fingers in the boosters, and can keep pressing the booster lever. As well as if they love cars and races enough so they will play with it enough to make it worth the price and the space it takes up. Hot Wheel super fans should love it.
