I don't refrigerate until after I open the milk

What is the "natural" flavor? Vanilla's a non starter for me.

The plain is just soymilk flavored, not vanilla.

List of ingredients says carrageenan. elsewhere it says no carrageenan twice. does it or doesn't it contain carrageenan?

The list of ingredients on the box of Silk milk I'm currently looking at does not list carrageenan. Whatever is listed on the box itself is the definitive list.

Making a homemade custard or pie filling, do you use the same amount?

I use the same amount of almond milk as I would regular milk for most of my recipes. I don't know about custard, so I would try the same amount and see.
