This vest was a pleasant little surprise! To be honest I didn’t know what to expect on sizing when I ordered it. People who you see wearing these have many preferences when wearing and sometimes don’t have the right sizing option due to store inventory so it’s hard to gage what size to order. It like leaving a 4th grader to choose his shirt size at school - he’s a small but orders an large shirt and it swallows him. Or all the correct sizes are taken so they are stuck in a size that’s too big or too small. HahaI like my clothes to fit me just right. I don’t like excess baggage but I don’t like to feel constricted at all. I’m 6ft, 155 with a 30 inch waist. I wear this vest while I’m working on my art to prevent getting paint on my clothes. I decided to purchase a small and it fits perfect over a layer of clothing (usually a tshirt). The zipper works really nice and smoothly closes up the vest to provide the protection I desire. The black is a true black and is consistent in color all over the vest.As for protection from paint, anything surface level that I get on the vest protects me from damaging my clothing underneath. Now if an entire bottle poured onto me, which is highly unlikely and I’m not sure how I would manage to do that it would eventually bleed through a bit and get onto my clothing. That scenario is highly unlikely though and not a concern that I have. I’m pleased with the protection that it gives me.The price is right, the fit is spot on and it meets all of my needs. Would definitely recommend this to other artist looking for similar protection. I may even buy it in a few other colors for added options. 5 stars here for me. Don’t expect to look flattering in this vest, as it is gender neutral and very boxy, but if you need a summer work vest with pockets, and don’t want to spend much, this will work. It runs large, so I took in the seams and made slits at the bottom, because it doesn’t stretch at all, and I climb on tractors often!

Well made sturdy material that keeps its color wash after wash. Huge pockets where I could fit everything for my shift. Wore mine for 2 years 5 days a week before I needed a new one from general wear.

I disliked that it ripped and the quality is more suited for a costume and not everyday wear.

The material is fitted and cheap. The vest ripped within a day of wearing it. I like how it looks just wasn't the right vest for the occasion.
