Finger print sensor issues and poor battery life
Fingerprint sensor on the phone switcg bugging out, an issue I've had with phones in the past that never got fixed and I'm not waiting around in the hope this one will. I suspect there's a good reason why manufacturers have mostly dropped the power switch/sensor combination that's not been leaned here. And the battery life isn't great too put it mildly. I bought this to replace an old pixel phone that has had its battery throttled after a recent update but it's still comparable to this thing.Sorry, ethics good but it's just not there as a product

Avoid fairphone if you can.
Be really careful when buying a fairphone. The ethos and spirit behind it is brilliant, but they aren't a serious enough company with enough resources behind them if anything goes wrong. Customer service is extremely slow, to the point of non existent. When my Fairphone 5 stopped working in March, live chat support was only available mid morning on a friday, great for a student project, less good for a company selling smartphones. After months and months of chasing, they agreed to part refund my phone in July. I posted it back to them, they confirmed I'd get a refund (a third of what it cost). Nothing has been paid. It's October next week. I bought the phone almost 2 years ago, it lasted just 17 months, easily the shortest lifetime of any phone I've owned, so much for saving the environment. It's a shame because the idea is good, but they aren't very good at having customers
