Candy
I've had this dispenser for over a year now. It worked well until the past month or two. Now it will dispense while your hand is underneath the "chute", but then it will also try to dispense on its own! I've cleaned the "chute" area to make sure there was no candy "dust" fooling the electronic eye, but I have not taken it a part for a deep cleaning. I don't know if that's the reason it's dispensing on it's own or not. Other than that, I've great enjoyed having it on my desk except I'm sure I've gained a few pounds from it!

battery change?
Our boys love this but now the batteries need changing. How in the world does one change them? We've tried to get the bottom clasp off but nothing works. Any advice?

fun but made cheap
I received this as a Christmas gift and put it on my desk at work. It is battery operated. You can buy a power cord for it, but it doesn't come with one. I has settings for small or large handfuls, but in reality, people either get several handfuls of nothing, or jelly beans will spill all over the desk top. After just a few weeks, this works so inconsistently, that I do not expect it to last long. Also, the clear plastic bowl scratches really easily and detracts from the aesthetic appeal. So, it's a fun gadget, but cheap and likely short-lived. When it goes, I might replace it with a better one.

Upset!
This candy magic only worked a total of 3 times, and only at the highest setting. It was bought for a Christmas present. I wanted to return it but lost the receipt unfortunately. I was excited when I ordered it, but so let down that it didn't work!
