GravelRoad are the worn down white dudes who can play the holy shit out of the heavy 60's Brit-beat blues, the swung bass beat style that you hear from the acoustic Delta recordings of Clarksdale to the electric work of the Hill Country near Oxford, Mississippi. Droning Blues Freak Out
Gravelroad have plastered their own psycho-Americana skin onto the solid bones and riff-heavy entrails of a droning, N. Mississippi-style blues sound. This CD is shot through with drugs, death, madness and joy. Great driving music, complete with slide guitar boogies and hand claps. There are a few near-misses, but this is generally a great CD with some truly outstanding moments.
