Good product, great directions, packaging could be improved.
The gel works as described. It dissolves completely, and sets up crystal clear. there are directions included to are 10 or 20 percent gelatin blocks, all with tips on temperatures required to use the product. The only reason I removed a star is the top of the package was not sealed. There is a zip type closure, but the bag was not heat sealed above the zipper. Due to that, the bag partially opened I transit, and packaging material bag has some of the granulated gelatin loose in it, and I ended up with it all over my desk and keyboard. Heat sealing the bags above the zipper would have prevented this. I wold have given the product five stars if I didn't have to clean up my desk after opening the shipping packaging.

This is the real deal.
The ballistic gel powder arrives well packaged in a resealable pouch and is clearly labeled with mixing instructions that are easy to follow. The granules dissolve evenly with proper heating and stirring, producing a smooth, bubble-free gel once cooled. I tested the mix at the 10% FBI ratio, and the consistency felt appropriately firm yet still elastic, making it suitable for repeated use if remelted carefully. One detail I appreciated is that the powder appears consistent from batch to batch, which is important if you plan to make multiple blocks and want uniform results. It also has a clean appearance when set, without cloudiness or excess particulate. The setup process is straightforward, but you do need to be mindful of heating temperatures to avoid scorching or creating unwanted bubbles. I would also recommend using a mold that can handle the weight and heat of the liquid mix without warping. For higher-density applications, the 20% NATO mix ratio is an option, though it will require more powder per mold. The product seems versatile enough for a range of testing purposes, whether for calibration work or controlled experiments. Overall, it performs as described and provides a dependable medium when prepared according to the instructions. Our club plans on buying more of this stuff, making a hand mold and demonstrating pyrotechnics safety. It should be a blast!

Used for customized gel print plate
I used this to make custom sized "Gelli plates". I was able to use silicon forms to get a variety of shapes that can then be used for mono printing. I mixed at a ratio of 2 to 8 md poured into a release treated mold. It says that it will be set after 4 hours but i left it over night to make sure. The prints seemed to work well, using 1/2 inch material. I am keeping them in the fridge to help preserve them. My family craft day will use them for holiday cards this year. So far I have made 5 plates and I have plenty of material to make more as I find new shapes to create.

Ballistic gel
This was my first time trying ballistic gel and I followed the directions and it came out exactly how I expected, nice and easy. Worked well and on par durability wise with ones friends have made in the past. Price seems fair and about what other 2lb bags are. The bag was sealed fine and the powder didn't have any issues with moisture, consistency, or thickness. You can make any block size you need, providing you have room in a fridge or cooler to get the desired temperature. The 2lb bags is probably a small size, if you plan to do this often. Good thickness and can be done to either 10% or 20%, FBI and NATO.

Great ballistic gelatin mix
This was easy to make, and you can use mostly anything as a mold. I used a loaf pan personally, but you can make a proper rectangle mold if you'd like and cut it with fishing line/wire for making more of these at once.
