Can’t use 8.5x11 paper
This is a nice printer. Easy to set up and makes clear color copies. Negative is you can’t use 8 1/2 x 11 paper even though it says you can. There’s no stop for this size on the paper tray so paper jams every time. Works fine with legal size paper.

Poor quality, poor HP support
I've been an HP customer since the early 90s, when I purchased a Deskjet 550C. My recent experiences with HP instant ink, the HP smart app, and now this OfficeJet Pro 8125e are making me reconsider purchasing another HP product. Regarding this product, the ethernet port did not work out of the box. This printer is connected to a secure network that does not have wireless, so the ethernet connection is required. When reviewing guidance from HP, they just kept pointing to my switch as being the problem, but all other devices connected to this switch have no issues. In addition, the build quality is very poor. It felt like I was going to break the paper try when trying to remove it from the printer. Very disappointed in HP these days.

HP does it right with this printer - OfficeJet Pro 8120e
I've always preferred Canon multifunction inket printers, but the 8620 that I had just wasn't reliable. Won't scan from the feeder, won't print because the head is junked up. Time to replace. But with what? Another 8620 is now $200 and for just scanning and the occasional color print, that's just too much. I have two B&H lasers for heavy duty printing. So, after reading the reviews, I found this 8120e. While the ink is pricey, I don't do that much printing. What I need is reliability. So I ordered it yesterday and it came TODAY. Unboxing and setup were MUCH easier than I expected. Download the app, follow the directions, take out the tape and packing materials, install the cartridges and align the printhead. Just plain easy. The only hitch was that as soon as the printer was online, it needed to update its firmware which bolixed up my scanning test. But once the printer rebooted and took a deep breath, scanning was quick and easy from the document feeder. It automatically installed all of the drivers to my Windows 11 laptop. So we'll see. But so far, so good and bye bye Canon.

OUCH! Setup took hours! But print quality 5 stars.
First I bought from Amazon, but they sent a message that the delivery would be 5 days late. So I cancelled and went to Office Depot and bought it (same price). Tried setting it up. We’ve used HP wireless printers for years with no problems. This was unnecessarily difficult to set up. I tried everything. 3rd day I spent 1-1/2 hours on the phone with HP tech support. Now it’s working. Print quality is primo and fast. Plus 3 months free ink. Print quality would get 5 stars. PS Amazon delivered the next day anyway. Now I have to return. Big hassle.
