Now I grab the Dyson off the wall mount, do a 10-minute sweep of the main floor, and put it back — no untangling cords, no hunting for outlets. It's made me vacuum more often, which I never expected to say. Battery life on the standard setting is solid — plenty of runtime to cover a reasonably sized home in one charge. Max mode chews through battery faster, but I rarely need it except for deep-cleaning sessions on thick rugs. The conversion to a handheld for stairs, upholstery, and car interiors is quick and genuinely useful, not just a gimmick. The bin is easy to empty — one click and everything drops cleanly without you having to dig around inside it. The included attachments cover most situations well, and the wall-mounted dock keeps everything organized and charging in one spot. Yes, it's an investment. But the build quality, performance, and convenience make it feel worth every penny. If you're on the fence, consider this your sign.

I call this the magic wand, despite the fact a very different product has appropriated that name. My needs aren’t great, the house rarely gets very dirty. I wanted a light weight, cordless vacuum to clean chiefly dog fur on two floors, one wood and tile, the other carpeted. The Dyson V8 Plus does the job easily and swiftly, sucking up all the dog debris, small bits of paper, food scraps, and any other dirt on the floors. It is so much more convenient than using one of those big, cumbersome, corded vacuum cleaners I used to have. I hated lugging these around, especially up and down stairs. Now I can carry the Dyson just in one hand and never worry about plugging and re-plugging the machine. I had some difficulties at the beginning because the Dyson got clogged. It still functioned, but not well: it pulsed, instead of being smooth. Only when I downloaded the manual did I discover the simple solution to my problem, which was to find and remove the blockage in the tube. Then the Dyson worked like magic. The battery doesn’t last very long under heavy usage, so I clean one floor at a time, waiting about two hours between these tasks until the machine recharges. I’m probably too cautious because whenever I finish a floor, I know I still have some leftover power. It’s not quiet but nor is it especially noisy – and it works so well I can’t complain.

The hairscrew tool is shown to be included in this set and that is why I bought this set for my pets hair problem but that specific tool is not included and will be returning the complete set.

Nice, practical, easy to store vacuum cleaner. Very nicely designed articulating floor head. Charging quick and has overdrive suction switch for the tough stuff. Light weight. Smallish collection canister, but very easy to empty. I think it is the best engineered cordless vacuum on the market.
