Color seems a little off
I have this monitor side-by-side with a 24" ASUS with similar specs, with a black background. The black on the smaller monitor is appreciably more black than the black on this monitor. I haven't fiddled with the settings on the monitors, but I checked and confirmed they are both set to 80 brightness, 80 contrast. I could probably get the blacks to match by changing brightness settings.Also, the LED indicator (demonstrating that the monitor is turned on) is visibly brighter than the one on the smaller monitor... not that that matters at all.That said, if I didn't have a second monitor side-by-side for comparison, I would not notice the grayness of the blacks on this screen. In all other dimensions, monitor has high performance, no complaints. No dead pixels, physically well-constructed (bevel is secure and not trying to detach.) Overall very happy with the monitor.

looks like plain glass. The test is to look at blue sky and compare with glasses.
My son brought us a 27" Asus monitor which is supposed to reduce "blue strain" but I have this large screen on a desk which is only 17" deep. My face is less than one foot from the screen and I was feeling strain. These glasses were obviously designed for a more expensive price, the packaging, storage pouch, and cleaning wipe were all excellent. I would have priced the pair, which fit perfectly, at several times what I paid. One pair is a bit stronger than the other, but I do not see a big difference between them.In any event, I now enjoy my 27" screen and have no feeling of stress.

Replacement for an older LED
After trying 2 different IPS monitors I found this TN / LED monitor to replace an older one. IPS monitors always have an edge glow & transparency issue from my experience, and this does not. A+

Need to use with blu-ray otherwise works like computer screen. Streaming works best
