Aaron 4PCS 50W 6ohm Load Resistors

After upgrading my vehicle to LED turn signal bulbs, I ran into the common hyper-flash problem. These Aaron 50W 6-Ohm Load Resistors solved it immediately. Once they were installed, my turn signals returned to their normal flash rate, and everything worked exactly as it should. The resistors are well made and feel much more durable than some of the cheaper alternatives I've seen. These worked great. The instructions correctly said that these resistors get very hot while being used. I did not really want to drill holes into the body to mount them, so I did a test. I ran the turn signal for about 5 minutes, which is about as long as I would expect under normal use. Certainly, 4 way flashers could be much longer. The resistors did not get very hot during this test, so I simply bundled them in with the wiring. My vehicle has separate bulb filaments for brake and turn signals. A vehicle that has one filament for running lights, turn, and brake, would be continuous use and would get hotter. I am pleased with these. They worked well, are well built, and a reasonable price. They also come with the quick T-tap connector which makes installation a breeze.

I bought these for my 2010 Silverado almost 5 years to the date, having to order new ones because 1 of 8 has died. At $2 a pop I am not upset about this at all.

I use to enjoy my hyper-blinking car when I was younger. People definitely pay a bit more attention and it's easier to switch lanes, but as I've gotten older it's become embarrassing to drive around a car that hyper-blinks. Makes my car look more juvenile and "ricer" - neither of these looks are ones I'm going for or want attributed to myself as a professional. This is a quality product. You get exactly what you expect. The self crimpers are a bit of a pain to use, so I decided not to use them at all. Instead I just stripped the wires myself with a wirestripper, then I twisted the 2 wires together (twisted the wire from the resistor around the wires that go to my blinkers), wrapped it all with electrical tape, and boom, done. Finally no more hyper-blinking. Took about 5 minutes, but I also have some "backyard mechanic" experience. If you've never done this type of work before it might take you 15 minutes.

Got here super fast. Less than 24 hours and some of the least expensive ones I saw. Worked perfectly on my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I'd installed the "Yorkim 3157 Led Bulb Red Bright 3156" LED bulbs and the turn signals were hyperflashing, the bulbs were strobing/dim and I had no brake lights. The first one I installed didn't work, but it was just operator error. You need to give those connectors a really good squeeze to get them to connect. They do get up to around the same temperature as the halogen bulbs used to, so the fact that they're pretty compact helps a lot when you're mounting them to something metal inside the cavity the lens housing sits in. You definitely DO NOT want these in contact with plastic, worse, the wiring harness. Good idea to mount them first, then connect them. The first one I did wound up being a little awkward because I installed it too close to the socket and didn't give myself enough slack. End of the day though, I got exactly what I wanted. The brake lights/turn signals work, and they're eye-searingly bright (I ordered tinted lenses for the tail light lenses, so I wanted something that wouldn't show up too dim after I installed them)

Installed in November 2025, these 50W 6ohm Load Resistors fixed my LEDs from hyper flashing. The load resistors performed flawlessly for nine months until a long 12 hour road trip in May 2026 caused rapid flashing. The issue was a loose bulb vibrating out of place in the socket, resulting in insufficient contact between the prongs on the LED and rear turn signal socket. Fixing it was easy: I bent the prongs on the LED outward to restore a strong connection. Great product, and I’m grateful for the two included replacements.

Do they work Yes, did they resolve my hyperflash issues on my turn signals Yes. So why do I give these a rating of only 3 ? Faulty solder joints. Wires came loose on one side on two of these modules after only putting a light strain on them. Wires broke off clean at solder joint. Ended up removing the heat shrink and breaking out my soldering iron and went ahead and used some good wire I had laying around. Checked the rest of the solder joints and they seemed okay. After I repaired the wiring installed them and my Hyperflash of my turn signals was solved. A lot of people don't know how to solder or even own a soldering gun. In that case they would have to be returned

Likes: - Resistors have a large heatsink but are still compact enough to install in tight spaces - The wire gauge and the insulation on the resistors are thick and durable - The wire clamps that were included worked great in making contact with the wires on my OEM turn signal harness - The resistors are non polarized so they work when installed in either orientation - I touched them while they were on and they did not get as hot as the warning message claims - They eliminated the hyper flash on both my front and rear LED turn signals back to normal flash speeds Dislikes: - Initially when I first installed one resistor on my rear turn signal harness the hyper flash still existed, so I wired a second resistor in parallel with the first one and that did the trick and the hyper flash went away. FYI, I did not need to install a resistor on the front turn signal due to space constraints behind my front bumper, to summarize I used two resistors on each turn signal in the rear of the vehicle - The wire leads coming from the resistor are a bit short, I would have preferred them to be a few inches longer - No self tapping screws were provided inside the package so I used Gorilla Mounting tape to stick the heatsinks to the bare metal on my rear bumper frame, this is not ideal but since the resistors didn't get very hot I am not concerned about them melting the adhesive tape Update - Sept. 17, 2025: Resistors are working perfectly fine since installing them last year. They have survived one winter so far and haven't skipped a beat. I would definitely recommend this if you're planning on upgrading to LED turn signals and can wire them yourself.
