Worked First Time, easy to Set up & kind to Animals
Excellent in every respect. Simple to understand instructions. Easy to set up. Good design and construction. Set trap with oats and nuts.....one hour later the beautiful little field mouse that my cat had brought it....and then lost....was safely caught in the trap and unhurt by trap (or cat). Then very easy to release mouse safely outside....with no risk to little mouse or me. (Ps I did give her more nuts before I released her so she was ready to back into the garden whilst I kept the cat it). This is one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Works outdoors for field voles and wood mice in the vegetable patch!
Ordered on Friday, delivered Saturday morning on standard Amazon free delivery. We have been suspecting a rodent problem with tunnels in the vegetable patch and pea seed sowings being ‘stolen’ as well as pea plants being chewed through the stems at the base, thus killing them. Hubby had a ‘Big Cheese’ trap which showed no activity over 2 days. These traps are really easy to use, although lightweight and I suspect the plastic casing can be prone to damage. Because of the straightforward ‘straight’ layout, the bait at the end can be easily seen and smelt by curious rodents, therefore tempting them in. I wasn’t sure how effective they would be outdoors but was worth a try. Set them up as recommended, sticking a 2p piece to the far end of the trigger plate and adding some biscuits, fruit and nuts (and a chocolate button to one). Placed them out in the pea patch, one directly opposite the tunnel entrance and one parallel along a row of pea plants at 6.30pm. Checked on traps at 7.30 and both traps had sprung catching 2 field voles! Result! Released the critters in a park a little under a mile away, came home and reset the traps. Checked again 1 1/2 hours later and caught the field mouse I had spotted two nights ago eating peas. I can’t be more pleased by the results thus far! Hopefully my peas have a fighting chance now!

Good, Efficient Trap.
It works! Easy enough to use and effective. Lost 1 star as its awkward to clean, droppings can get stuck under the trigger plate. But at least it catches mice - which is more than the last 2 cheaper (and smaller) traps I bought did.

Good trap/idea but did not trigger on tiny mice.
Dog chased a mouse upstairs and we trapped it in behind our fireplace. Put all sorts of snap traps, glue traps and these down yet he avoided everything for nearly 2 weeks. We set up a trail camera and we saw it entering the humane trap multiple times without triggering it. Read the tip about coins to weigh the platform down for small mice, but even 2 2p coins wouldn't set it off. Anything else on it meant it couldnt be set. He eventually escaped into a wardrobe and after a frantic prodding of coats he dropped out and ran straight to the back of the humane trap TWICE and it STILL didn't go off. (We did get rid eventually by other methods. Sorry mouse - you had plenty of chances!). The trap seems well made and a great idea - especially for such tender little things - but the sensitivity of the platform is hit and miss. Not at all suitable for tiny mice. The manufacturer needs to add some extra sensitivity to the platform. Really disappointed it didn't go off as we would've caught mouse a week earlier and saved us some monemental stress - however the trap does get plus points for it being well made but also inviting to mice as nothing else even tempted it. I would buy an upgraded sensitivity version.

Fab humane mouse traps
Fab mouse traps. Have tried using 2 other humane traps unsuccessfully for several months to catch a mouse (or 2) who were somehow getting in at night to our house we are renovating. (Suspect the gap under the front door was the problem, though had rammed pipe lagging around it to try to solve the problem) Somehow the mice were getting bait without getting trapped and so I was getting to the point of threatening the use of poison, then I decided to order a couple of these. Within 4 days we had caught 2 very sweet little wood mice. They had happily lasted overnight on the snacks (bait) we had left them and after releasing them in hedgerow a couple of miles away there has been no evidence of returning critters. The traps are large enough for them to be comfortable for that amount of time, yet the spring seems sensitive enough to catch even the smallest mice. I was so glad when I saw them that I had not used poison as wood mice would only have been popping in at night to take advantage of a bit of shelter and the odd crumb, and most certainly weren’t resident. Hopefully we will have a new front door fitted in the next few weeks so that we won’t need to relocate any more of our local mice!

Didn't capture the mice!
I much prefer the idea of humane entrapment, so I can release back into the wild away from my home. Set the trap as per instructions and put in a nice chocolate biscuit as bait. In the morning, the bait was gone, no mouse and the trap hadn't been triggered. Looks like Mr Mouse simply wandered in to the trap, had his lunch and wandered off again. So it was a free lunch on me. And he came back for more the next day! Would probably work for heavier vermin, like a rat, but didn't work for the little mice I have around my garden / kitchen. Off to buy a trap with a better / more sensitive trapping mechanism........

Worked well first night.
They caught three mice the first night. Two in one trap. A young mouse must have followed mum into the trap. Small young mice did not always trigger the traps. I used coins to weight the trap plate so that when a tiny lightweight mouse came over it the trap went off. Yes I did feel mean, but mouses in houses is not clean and healthy for the humans. This worked well and I caught 8 mice two adults and six tinies over a three night period. Could be easier to clean but removing the bait area and flushing through with a hose pipe worked. They were all caught with additive free Peanut Butter. Not sure it was the free from aspect of the butter , More likely to be the stronger smell of peanuts I reckon. Fresh Peanut Butter persuaded more to come out than the old stuff from the previous day. Healthy connoisseur mouses. Good luck.

Doesn’t work on Ninja Mice!
I’ve had to give this product 5 stars because genuinely the thought behind it, the way it’s built, the ease of use - it should be perfect - especially after seeing all the other reviews from people with normal mice in their house that have been catching them up and releasing them safely! I, however, seem to have the most bad ass tribe of mice ever - this did not work, through no fault of the product - but because these mice are ridiculous!! I have done EVERYTHING and they are still ruling the household! They get through the tiniest cracks... they must have been laughing at me when I put this trap out! FREE FOOD!!! Just home from work, the trap door down, food all eaten and the fricking mouse nowhere to be seen... it’s just squeezed through the breathing holes! I give up... great product for normal house mice... free food station for ninja mice!
