I bought one of these boxes as I wanted an alternative to the Firestick. I already have an Nvidia Shield in one room which is awesome but very expensive.Everything started off fine with the Xiaomi box but is is proving to be extremely unreliable.Firstly the WiFi does not stay connected. For the first few weeks I was getting repeated phone calls from the wife and kids telling me they can't get the TV to work and that it's saying 'no connection' and having the explain over the phone to go into WiFi settings and select my router. It is the only device in my entire network of over 15 WiFi devices that has this issue and it's no more than 6ft from my router.Secondly the remote keeps randomly disconnecting!!! Batteries are at 89%.Today was the last straw. I paused what I was watching on YouTube and after returning the remote would not work. I reset the box and it took me to the pairing screen and the remote would not pair. I had to do this 6 times before the remote would be recognised.Thirdly... (not a massive issue) You cannot download the BBC iplayer appThis cannot be happening so I am returning the device for a refund.New Nvidia Shield is already on its way
