It's about 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" and simple - just a power button and volume control - and sits on top of the keyboard with enough mass in its metal case that I don't have to worry about the weight of the headphone wire moving it around. I use a short mini-male to mini-male cord with one end into a 1/4" (guitar plug) adaptor and the other into the Yamaha's headphone out.
