This was simple to set up and start. We've been using it a few weeks now and really enjoy it. It makes good sized ice chunks and pretty quickly. I definitely suggest using bottled or filtered water for best results. It's got a basic look and goes with the rest of my black/stainless steel appliances. Pretty good price too.

I got this icemaker for the summer. We don't have a lot of use for a portable icemaker in the winter, but I did test it out a few times. I have learned that it makes ice faster when I am not standing there waiting for it to make ice. It really doesn't take too long. Just make sure you give it the time before you need it so you aren't counting down the minutes for more ice to fall.

Our ice maker in our fridge is broken and we got sick of ice cube trays because we use lots of ice. This was the solution.Pros: It makes ice fast. It is automatic. It has good capacity to hold the ice. Ice is the right size to put in water bottles or cups and is the perfect size for our teething baby to handle.Cons: takes up lots of counter space, ice is full of air and melts quickly. The ice will NOT last all day in a Stanley cup like ice cube tray ice.

My freezer doesn't have an automatic ice maker and ice cube trays are a pain so I got this. It was pretty easy to set up and in a couple of hours it had made a lot of ice! So it works great . The instructions are great for set up but I was a little confused for putting it away but figured it out. I'm very happy with this and will be using it a lot more when it gets warm outside (sorry, not eating a lot of ice when it is freezing cold outside!)

Makes ice very quickly.The ice is the small bullet style with a hole in the middle. I have a portable cooler that makes similar ice style but it takes much longer and can't produce as much ice as this unit.The reservoir is below the ice collecting tray. This has to be filled manually which isn't a huge problem for me.I like how quickly it can make ice during a party or event. It doesn't a huge amount of space on the counter or when storing it in between uses.

I admit I was skeptical about this unit when first read the description. Now that I have tested it I am sold on it. It really does product nice ice in about 6 minutes and builds up a full basket in quick order. Much faster and better ice than found in refrigerators we have had. I plan to keep it in our outdoor bar this spring and summer and use in winter for slushies.Very simple controls and easy to use. Amazing design on how the ice is formed and moved along into the catch bucket. I watched several times with my engineering brain analyzing the mechanism and think it will last. Super quiet too, especially a compressor type freezer. NOTE: I let mine sit for 12 hours after unpacking to let coolant settle back down before use. You can tear up one plugging in after transport and such. Always let sit after moving any distance.I would recommend this even to my mother-in-law... ;-)

This countertop ice machine works so quickly. I was very impressed with how fast it started making ice after filling it for the first time. It can be a bit loud, so keep that in mind when you choose placement, but it holds in store the ice very well.

Pretty cool machine useful if your freezer doesn't make ice. It takes a while to make a good amount though
