Great value mesh solution!
I am an experienced network tech and am more than happy with the Tenda Nova solution. First, price - I purchased two three packs for the special price of $120. One was for a neighbor and the other for me. A brief word regarding the two houses these units were placed in. My neighbor and I both live in Ecuador. Almost all houses here have concrete wals, floor, and ceilings. This makes connectivity throughout a house extremely difficult. My neighbors house is approximately 3,000 sq feet and relatively thin and long. Her ISPâs connection is at the extreme end of the house and she has never had reliable connectivity at the opposite end of the house. My house is a three story building. I have always had a wifi router placed in my attic, and a repeater on the first floor. The performance on the first floor was spotty AND streaming video in my TV room on the second floor (Roku) was inconsistent at best. Setup - I had already downloaded the Tenda IOS app prior to receving the units so I was ready to go. Plugged in the first unit and received a notification that it was using a DHCP connection in less than a minute. Then it was time to add the next two units. Because the Tenda units are pre-linked all that is required is that you locate the two companion units in a suitable location and wait while they boot up and connect. I have significant experience with Google Wifi and Eero and although I love both of these products their setup is a bit more involved. Also, because the Tenda units are pre-linked (and the notice to simply plug in the 2 additional units is rather small) users might try to use the Tenda app feature to add another Tenda unit (which will fail). Just follow the directions and plug the other two units in, check they have a good signal, and youâre good to go. Performance - living in Ecuador bandwith is expensive. My neighbor only has a low speed DSL connection at 5Mbps (on a good day) mine is a fiber connection at 50Mbps. Many of the online performance tests for the Tenda unit put them a little below or above the Google wifi product and below the Eero. For the speeds we have here in Ecuador the aggregate throughput of the Tenda is MORE than ample. In my neighborâs house i had 100% wifi signal throughout the entire house. A solid 3.5Mbs on speedtest throughout the house (this is her typical wired performance with DSL). Similar experience in my house. A consistent 49Mbps everywhere. IOS App - the Tenda app is almost identical in look to the Eero application. I donât like the upload/download indicators at the top of the Tenda app as much as Eeroâs bandwidth testing results. Tendaâs app gives you an instantaneous measurement rather than a bandwidth test history (which I prefer). I also wish there was a restart option to reboot the units (although I havenât yet had any need to reboot anything). Nice and simple app that gives you access to the basic things you need. If youâre a tech or advanced user used to a web based router interface with access to deep features this will be dissapointing but thatâs not who or what this sytem (or Google wifi, eero, etc) is geared towards. Tech support - I have seen some negative comments in peopleâs reviews of Tendaâs tech support. I had no need to speak with technical support during or after purchase (yet). I did however contact them prior to purchase to ask some questions. Got through instantly. The agent realized my questions were more technical than she could answer and suggested I speak with an engineer who she promised would call back. Got a call later that day and got knowledgeable answers to my questions. In summary, the product in my experience is a great, low cost, mesh solution. Incredibly easy to install. Decent application. Good tech support. Great performance (for my situation). Amazing value for the money. Highly recommended.

Super Fast Install, Great Coverage and Awesome Customer Service
Bought the Tenda in July of this year and the package arrived quickly and to my surprise it was well protected. Once the application is downloaded to your cellular, tablet or computer (in my case was a Samsung S10+) the installation is performed fast and without any hitches. The addition of satellite (wireless nodes as they call them) is done within seconds. I have a 1320 square foot apartment with a lot of concrete walls and there was no interference whatsoever. The system was working great and the coverage was better than ever with no dips in speed. After six weeks of use the wireless node (satellite) stopped working and the small indicator would not change from the color magenta. I followed the trouble shooting guide to no avail doing everything it explained like pressing the reset button for "x" amount of seconds, placing the wireless node closer to its primary and even making the faulty node the primary and the one that was correctly working the satellite. Once I realized that all that I had done did not work I called their customer service and spoke to a very professional gentlemen who walked my through Tenda's trouble shooting parameters to reassure that the wireless node was indeed faulty. The phone call lasted close to 30 minutes since but was very cordial and professional. The tech support realized that the problem was definitely a "hardware issue" and asked me to send them an email (with photographs) detailing where I had purchased the equipment, model number and serial number. I sent the email and within a window of 24 hours received a email from Amit stating that he would be the one to assist me from this moment on. Amit's professionalism was outstanding! Thanks to his patience and guidance I was able to return the item and will be receiving a new node in approximately five business days. Will update this product review once the new node has been installed. ***November 2, 2019 UPDATE *** I have not received the second unit yet but received the UPS tracking number so that's the good new. The BAD News is that the Tenda router died on me yesterday. Spent roughly 2 hours troubleshooting the system to no avail.

An amazing product that provides Mesh Wifi at a Realistic Price!
I have been using this product for a week and no issues. Prior to my purchase, I had purchased a router from a big box store that was a pain in the rear to set up. When I was unable to make a small change I returned it a few days after the purchase. I have gone through a few routers in the past and they were a HUGE HASSLE to set up. WOW is all I can say. I was impressed from the moment I opened the Amazon box and saw the silhouette of the Tenda MW6. The device(s) or elegant cubes as my wife calls them came in a handsome box that is not typical for what the Netgear and Linksys giants offer. Upon opening the well crafted black box you find the three "elegant cubes" positioned equally in foam along with the power adapters. I have to admit I watched a youtube video to make sure the install went smoothly. You are directed to download the app to set up the device. WOW WOW WOW, Super Easy and efficient! I am shocked that my prior Netgear routers were not this easy. This is a great product that helps spread and balance the bandwidth stress from all of the computers. phones, tablets, and smart tv's in my home. The guest wifi was a snap. The hardest part was creating a password. I give this product 10 stars due to its price. It may not be the fastest but I now have a strong signal in parts of my house that were dead zone, Great Product, Great Value! By this before you consider buying an over priced mesh wifi system.

Everything you need to know about the FLAWS of MESH routers and smart home devices.
SO we moved to a MESH supposedly WHOLE HOUSE system to cover the dropouts we were experiencing in Wifi signal. We started with 1 set of the MW6, thinking this would solve our problems since the MW6 is supposed to provide a saturated Wifi signal over up to a 6000 sq ft home according to the manufacturer. NOT! ... First off this system has the inherent problem of having your devices AUTOMATICALLY CONNECT to the FARTHEST not the closest MW6 Nova that it can find, which of course degrades the speed and quality of the Wifi signal to that device and since the only way to control this system is through the smartphone app (no web interface) and your phone is going to connect to the farthest unit it can find you can imagine how this plays havoc with everything regarding control of this system, sometimes not even being able to find a network signal to connect to! ...and to make matters worse, there is no way to ASSIGN a device to the CLOSEST MW6 Nova! YIKES! Additionally, when running a system analyzer, come to find out that even though there is a competitive neighbors Wifi in the area using the same Channel, the MW6 is not changing channels to avoid the low SNR (signal to noise ratio) we are seeing and to make it worse, this system has NO WAY TO MANUALLY CHANGE CHANNELS to avoid the interfering Wifi signal! After contacting Tenda's tech support multiple times regarding these issues, I was offered no solutions and was told my feedback was valuable input. I was furious since Tenda seems to have adopted so many other big tech companies philosophy of put the product out there and let the consumer tell us how to make it better! ...I'm not buying anyones product to do their R&D to make their systems better! UPDATE... The FLAWS of ALL MESH SYSTEMS and AMAZONS ECHO and other smart home devices. Thinking of a buying MESH router to use with smart home devices⊠DONâT! After almost a year of putting up with the inherent FLAWS in MESH and smart home technology, Iâve come to the conclusion that none of the manufacturers of either technology have tested using them together! Otherwise, they would have FIXED the issues plaguing BOTH technologies when being used together as most people do these days! The Good⊠MESH routers with multiple nodes do provide excellent signal coverage and can overcome areas in your home with weak or no wifi coverage. The Bad⊠MESH router systems regardless of the number of nodes installed will provide you nothing but headaches if you intend to use ANY smart home devices that are 5ghz capable such as Amazonâs echo devices and the plethora of others out there. ANY smart home deice that supports 5ghz by default also supports 2.4ghz. This typically results in the device constantly switching back and forth between bandwidths attempting to find the best signal. A Major FLAW in the design of todays systems regardless of manufacturer. This Bouncing between bandwidths plays havoc with so called âsmartâ systems that have voice and other ways of controlling other devices on your network. Devices such as Amazon echoâs that trigger timers, routines and carry out voice commands, require both the echo and the device being triggered to be on the same bandwidth. Since 5ghz enabled devices are always searching for the strongest bandwidth to use between the 2.4ghz (designed for distance) and 5ghz (designed for speed) and since you canât restrict them OR your MESH router as to which bandwidth to stay on. Another flaw of MESH routers is they are notorious for intermittent device dropouts regardless of bandwidth possibly due to flipping channels seeking the best channel to broadcast on. The Ugly⊠1. MESH routers currently do not allow for disabling the 5ghz bandwidth which would prevent the bouncing between bandwidth problem. 2. You cannot use the âGuestâ network feature with smart home devices. Another culprit adding to the bouncing issue! 3. Another FLAW of MESH systems is that they do not allow for control to âstatically bindâ specific devices to their closest nodes. There is no reason that any device within a local area (3-10ft) of any node should decide to connect to a more distant MESH node 40 feet away on the other side of the house! While Iâm sure that manufacturers will have to address these issues in the future, until manufactures of BOTH technologies step to the plate and FIX their respective FLAWS, if you intend to use your Wifi setup with ANY smart home device that supports BOTH 2.4 and 5ghz, expecting it to work as the manufacturers advertise, for the sake of your sanity DONâT BUY A MESH ROUTER! Current options for a SOLUTION⊠Bearing in mind you will need to disable 5ghz and the Guest network features on any router, donât spend a lot of money by buying the Best router available! Buy a router along with multiple wired access points preferred over wireless wifi extenders/repeaters that will further slow your network speed and may cause buffering issues on streaming devices. The SETUPâŠYour router along with wired access points to blanket the house with coverage all must be named the same SSID and password and the 5ghz and the Guest network features MUST be disabled! This will stop the bouncing around between bandwidths and/or guest networks of the ECHO and other 5ghz smart home devices thus ensuring all wifi signals are kept on the same 2.4ghz SSID for all smart home devices to recognize, allowing you to keep your sanity when expecting a voice command, timer or routine to trigger something!

Decent product, Ok software, Slow but good support = rough road but does work for personal use
6/27/19 - Final note - I ended up taking down this system for my house but my house is NOT normal household as I have 40-50 devices at any given moment including 10 google homes, 2 alexa, 10 or so WIFI devices including sprinkler, outlet control, bulbs, door control & alarm system. My guess is TENDA CAN handle up to 30 or so.... and unfortunately adding more nodes does NOT increase this capacity. Main issue I had was that it cannot play music smoothly on google home more than 1 unit at a time. And once that brings down the connection, everything else slows down.... But I think if I just use 3 nodes for PCs, phones & netflix, I believe it would work perfectly fine. I plan on using Tenda system I took down at my office where we only have 10 devices or so total. 6/24/19 - Final update unless something goes wrong. I installed 3 extra nodes they sent (6 total) on Friday. It's Monday and i've been running a lot of test including playing music on 10 google homes at once, while 2 alexa is also playing music + doing netflix, file transfer, playing game on PC & ETC. so far it had 2 issues, once yesterday where it wouldn't play on one of the google home... even though it was close to MAIN node... Restarted nodes and it resolved the issue. This morning, song had little lag issue but it restored itself in few seconds. Issue this morning can be ignored and blame internet connection as well. CONCLUSION - This is decent system, about equal to GOOGLE WIFI (the other system I tested) with limit of less than 10 devices per node. Meaning if you get pack of 3, you should be good to about 25-30 devices. Any more than that, you need more nodes, I have about 45 devices. I think getting Tri-Band system might yield better result but you're talking next tier models with higher price tags. I'm happy with this system now that they were willing to send me extra nodes to fix the issue. While slow, I'm impressed that they were willing to send me extra nodes. Update 6/13/19 - Either CS team added someone or saw my review as they started to respond faster, almost 2~3 reply a day. As a solution they sent me a new box of 3 nodes to add to my network, saying that having extra nodes will lighten the workload of each node = provide better service. This should be true although having 6 nodes will make whole network slow down a bit. Either way, this IS a workaround to having more devices, thus I'll be upgrading rating to 3 star based on their slow but willingness to find a solution for the customer. Update 6/2/19 - I no longer recommend this product. This is still not a bad product as BUDGET wifi system with limited number of devices. When I first started last year, I only had about 20 devices. My initial review is true at that point. But I realized once I surpassed 30 devices, it started to have a lot of issues. For those who think 'Who has 30 devices? that's crazy', please keep in mind that each Google Home Mini, Smart Door Lock, Smart Sprinkler, all phones & ipad, & etc count as a device. This device is capable of handling maybe 10~15 device per node. Regardless, if you think you'll never get 25+ devices, this system may still work for you. But if you think you may go above 25, get something else. - Tenda Support is almost non-existent & Amazon will not help. Amazon just says you have to contact manufacturer or bring a denial letter which no I don't see why manufacturer will do. Their support is very slow where they respond to you maybe ever 2~4 days with quick one line response that's repetitive... they won't offer any real solution nor provide real help. - At this point, you CANNOT stream music on google device smoothly and your PC will lose connection randomly here and there then connect again after few seconds... It's very obvious that limit of mesh wifi system has been reached. - Tenda have this thing called Capacity Oriented mode which is meant to turn on when you have 30+ devices. I think they made this BECAUSE they know their system has issue above 25-30 devices. However, when this is one, you'll noticed your printers being disconnected (dropped by router) or your FB message comes in all at once instead of how it normally works... Or your email comes in all at once when you turn off WIFI on your phone. Essentially to 'FIX' their capacity issue, they created a mode that slows traffic until they can catch up = Your devices are dropped or slowed down. This is why I changed my review to 1 start today. And I've been trying to work this out with their support for over a week with one response of one liner... Sorry, that's just not going to do. I'm going to call my loss and installed Google WIFI today and all the problem I mentioned are magically gone. I suggest you do the same if you plan on having 25+ devices. If not, this device may work for you. Update 5/25 - all back to working no thanks to support. You can expect support to respond to you about once a day which similar typical questions or to check a few things that you already did. Didn't really offer you more⊠thankfully the unit is well made it is functional and I was able to hard reset using different resources I found on the Google no thanks to support that was too slow for my taste. If somebody actually have Network outage, and they had to rely on support, I can't imagine getting proper help within a week. One question a day essentially. I was so fond that QOS on this system is not well designed and it's better to be off as it slows down the whole network once you have enough clients. Would I still recommend this system? Yes, but only if you are tacky enough to be able to figure software issues on your own. UPDATE 5/15/19 - I had some issue with network with internet modem changing, so had to reset the network. System decided to lose the whole network info for some reason. Fine.. not a biggie.. but issue came when I tried to reset 2 other nodes so that it can be added to newly created network using one of the node. It Won't RESET! I'm reducing 2 stars because their 24/7 support means you can submit email 24/7 but they'll respond probably once a day or so... meanwhile, I spent too much time trying to reset this stupid nodes in different ways and it fails each time... I'll revise my review based on support I get & outcome of this issue. ------------ When we moved here about 3 months ago, I didn't worry about WIFI, afterall I had ASUS top of the line router. It was few years old but still, it was a nice router which performed amazingly in our previously smaller house. At the new house, however, internet port happen to be at a room on 2nd floor... not in the middle area.... We've been experiencing some drops & slow connection here and there.. even though we had wifi extender (another ASUS).... it would randomly drop connections.... So I did some testing last week to see what's happening and I noticed that signals would get just weak enough to slow down or lose connection briefly dropping everything... So router was dying and it wasn't Spectum's fault like I thought until now... I decided to try this... since it's cheaper than google WIFI and figured what am I do lose, right? Setup & connected in 5 min... and oh man!!! I saw LIGHT & DAY difference. Just with 2 units, one on each floor, I'm getting almost full bar everywhere and this system will let you reach 100MBPS over WIFI no joke! It's amazing! FYI, this has what they call 'capacity oriented mode' which is silly cuz they don't explain what it is. It works by limiting 5Ghz connection to each node to 5... I don't think that really helps that much so i'm leaving mine off... but they are trying to add a lot of new features on each update which is cool. Buy It Now!

Great performer; almost perfect
1. Bought from Tenda Australia and it does come with AU plug. 2. Office: connected 1 node in bridge mode to LAN port off the wall. Got our office space 3-4x faster speeds than current wifi setup; more stable too. We have a corner office space in a building floor and I was able to get a signal at the far end opposite corner more than 30m away behind several walls. 3. Home: Currently using only 1 node in a medium sized house. Now getting coverage in all parts of all rooms. Full speeds where I used to have some signal before, and partial speeds where I used to have no signal at all. Also reached outside the house and into the garage in the floor below separated by thick concrete. I can easily plug i the 2nd node to get full speeds all through out. Cons/needs improvement. - app dark mode pls; too bright. - Parental controls - would be better to have an option to block specific websites only and/or throttle the speeds instead of cutting off Internet entirely. - Qos: ability to set/limit Internet bandwidth per device or group. - Guest: have an option to limit bandwidth and set no password.

Sensacional! sinal forte, cobertura ampla de sinal FANTĂSTICA!!!
Preço meio salgado, peguei dias antes do prime day.

Bought as add on to MW6
Super fast, a little more tricky to set up (took 5 minutes instead of 2) this has increased the wifi around the house as I wanted....my home is quite large (500sqM+) and has lots of concrete and steels, so i thought this top up would help....I have Sky Q installed on a separate Mesh, and use the old Sky 2 router and BBand or TV is usually woeful (SKY Q router not man enough for my home and already has to Sky boosters), but Tenda mesh works perfectly alongside what I have when set up in "bridge" mode...not the cheapest available, but its the best I have used in the 15 years I have lived here. I have about 30 devices connected too which Tenda copes with well....and I have 35Mbs not the super fast BB as that is all my BT junction box will support.
