Great for hiking, theme parks, and travel.
Wore these hiking all over Joshua Tree, shook off the desert dust and hung them up then wore them two days later to walk all over Disneyland and Ca adventure. They dry super fast too. We got drenched on a water ride and 10 minutes later my pants were dry. They stayed comfortable and honestly did not smell after 24 miles walking altogether. I found the size was perfect and love that the pockets don’t bulge out. The belt is also great for the airport because I wore them again for the five hour flight home. The phone pocket is well placed, even though my iPhone sticks out of it a little, the pocket holds it securely and I’m able to quickly grab it for pictures. These pants also pack down and are light.

Perfect for biking to work
I absolutely love these convertible cargo tactical pants! The concept is fantastic—they combine cargo style with water resistance, and they deliver on both fronts. I wear them during the spring and summer months for work, particularly because I bike to my job. On hot days, I can easily zip off the bottom part, transforming them into cargo shorts, which is perfect for staying cool while I’m on the move. When I arrive at work, where long pants are required on the construction site, I can simply zip them back on, and I’m all set. This feature makes them incredibly versatile, allowing me to adapt to changing temperatures and environments throughout the day. The quality of the material is impressive; they are durable and hold up well against wear and tear, making them ideal for both outdoor activities and demanding job site conditions. The pockets are spacious. I appreciate how the design allows for freedom of movement, which is essential when working or hiking. They offer practicality and comfort, making them a great investment for anyone looking for functional and adaptable clothing for work or outdoor adventures. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking versatile pants that can handle a variety of situations!

Better than Columbia
I travel over to Thailand once a year, and a big key to dealing with the heat is nylon. Cotton is not your friend in a hot climate. I originally was attracted to these pants for that reason and I bought several pair of the Columbia brand. Columbia has a pretty solid reputation, and are even more expensive than these. What I found after wearing both brands is I definitely prefer this brand. The material is heavier, so you can actually put a low iron on it, instead of being loaded with tons of micro wrinkles like the Columbia brand.Second, the zip off pant legs are labeled left and right, making it a hell of a lot easier to put the pant legs back on. Zipper heads are slightly larger as well, and there's an actual space for the zipper head, so less bulge to show. Overall there just a better thought out pair of pants. You can wear these from casual to a mid-range restaurant. Not saying that they are dress pants by any stretch, but they just look a lot nicer than the Columbia, as they do not wrinkle so much.Belt loops are sufficiently thick, and they are sized accurately. No problem with shrinkage, although over in Thailand you just don't use dryers, so not much chance of shrinking materials. I just ordered another pair and I will probably order several more before the summer. Really love these pants, and are fantastic for dealing with the heat.

Exactly what I was looking for just a bit tight
I work at a golf course, up north in Wisconsin, and have many mornings where it is quite chilly and afternoons where it is very warm. These are the perfect balance between light weight but made out of material that I am not afraid would be torn by a branch or any kind of normal wear. They are great at blocking wind and great at being breathable. My only problem is they are a little tight. I’m about 6’ 3” to 6’ 4” and I am a stock 34x34 in almost every pant I have worn. These are definitely a tight cut jean if that makes sense. I don’t mind them being a little tight because I don’t like them to be baggy but the waist and crotch area is a little tight and the zipper for the pants is tight on my upper thigh when I sit. Not a huge problem to where I would return them, but when I order another pair, I will probably go to a 36x34 to fit a little better. I am a skinny/athletic build where the waist has never been a problem fitting into so keep that in mind as well. If you want room just go up on the waist size but the length is perfect. Again perfect product, just a little error on my end. The belt is kind of useless and cheap but it holds up and does it’s job. It at least it helps me save my nice belt nice, would not be at all necessary if the no belt option comes in your size. I will be buying another pair.

Comfortable for hiking and dress up better than my old pranas
Was skeptical, given the price... But, apart from tightness in the area of the knees, they are quite comfortable, even in the thighs.Lightweight material, which is a positive for me both for comfort and for carry-on travel. We travel 6 months of the year and don't check bags unless we have dive gear, so lightweight pants that can double on the hiking trail and in Michelin starred restaurants are critical. These are easy wash and dry in the hotel room or AirBnB when traveling, and my spouse says they look good enough to pair with a nice shirt and jacket for fancy restaurants. (Something that wasn't the case for the prana pants that these replaced.)Finally, both the cargo pockets and the back pockets are slightly larger than my pranas. I can comfortably fit a quart ziplock bag containing my passport and international driver's license into the cargo pockets and close them effortlessly. This is a great product, especially for the price. I'll be buying another pair to replace the dark colored Pranas that I am still wearing.
