I can get these off without help, a struggle, or calf cramps. It matters.
These are great boots! Being short and having that flexible - is it neoprene? It feels like neoprene - trim area around the ankle makes these really easy to get on and off. Also, these will be great for "sniping" for gold, since boots are really necessary, but tall rubber boots get full of water and can become extremely difficult to remove after hours under water, with calf cramping being a huge barrier. If you never get stuck in a pair of wet rubber boots for over 24 hours because nobody was there and trying to pull your foot out caused your whole leg to cramp up, then, good. You shouldn't. Nobody should. Anyhow, I'll have to get another pair in a larger size to wear thick neoprene footies with them so I can keep my feet warm in a very cold river for several hours straight, but I'm used to that. For working around the property here, on land, these have been wonderful. They're so easy to wear that I've found myself reaching for these over all of my other boots, even when I'm not doing anything sloggy. As gardening boots, they're equally fantastic. If I had to find something, it'd be that when I'm digging with a shovel without a wide foot pad at the top edge of the blade, I can feel it, and a waffle grid under the insoles, but I stopped noticing much. It's an easy fix, so if it bothers me I'll get fairly rigid, padded insoles and live a really cushy brand of working life.As for looks, these win, hands down. They're just adorable. Because of their shape, they don't make me look like I have big ol' man feet or gorilla paws or just plain ol giant clodhoppers. I even bought them half a size big and they're still not making me look like a cartoon of myself, or trip over every pebble, like some have.I would absolutely suggest going up in size. I'm wearing really thick ski socks with them right now and I do feel the ends, sometimes. However, if I stuff a washcloth in the front on each side when I'll be walking in places where I have to push my feet through vegetation or force them forward out of mud, my unusual terrain wouldn't cause that to happen, plus I must add that this issue and remedy are true of all non-lace-up boots, and are not unique to these. The truth is that these are my favorites, now. I do plan to get a larger size, too, to accommodate a 5mm diving bootie, preferably before the next time I go sniping for gold. I'll probably also get a pair of nail guard insoles for both the land ones and the diving ones, because it's always a good idea when working where I am now, building a greenhouse and clearing veg. on our old farm property where a barn was taken down, so nails and wire, and in rivers, where accumulated chunks of broken glass mean you're headed the right way to get that gold.I'll try to get back here after sniping, if I manage to, to say how these did as dive boots. I need a real, whole day off for the first time in over a year, and I'm chompin' at the bit to go, so I'll call it research. Going to dig a trench now. If I break these cute boots today, it's really my own fault for asking too much of them. This is a job for serious leather work boots. If you don't hear from me again, then they toughed it out right along with me, and are still doing so at least once a week, because I really love these, so they will get worn, and I work hard (I love that, too. It just crossed my mind for the first time, what kind of old lady moves half a ton of river rock by hand underwater on their day off as their hobby?) ... (Lol...A strong one, I guess.)

Like 'Em, Heavy Duty Lug Design for Rugged Outdoor Wear
I like these boots, and recommend them...for those looking for a heavy, waterproof ankle boot. If you're looking for a lightweight boot and/or desire a paired-down feminine profile, these might be too rugged for your tastes. If you like the performance and look of a heavy lug sole and construction-boot look, try these. What to Know:**Each boot weighs 1.2 pounds. Most of the weight is in the sole.**Wear Medium to Thick Sock -- The boots fit me true-to size if I add a thicker sock. Barefooted, the shoes are too loose on me. Some wearers might be able to add an insole instead of socks.**The Height on me is above the ankle -- The openings are wide so they don't rub. Suggest wearing an ankle sock if rubbing is an issue. Here's what I like:**Easy Slip On/True to Size -- As already mentioned, the footbed has plenty of room for a sock, which also means plenty of room to slip them on.**Pull Tabs -- You probably don't need them but the two tabs can help when pulling these on**Solid, Textured Sole -- I feel very sure-footed in these boots. The lug sole provides plenty of traction and stability**They Are Waterproof -- The neoprene fabric on the uppers is waterproof for the full height of this ankle boot.**Good Cushioning Inside -- The foot bed has a soft liner sole on top of the firm sole for a supportive feel.**Minimal Logos -- My black boots don't have any logos on the outside. There are logos inside. I like the solid black exterior.I haven't had these boots long enough to comment on durability. Out of the box, they are comfortable (with socks) and waterproof. I like these and look forward to enjoying dry feet on many wet walks to come. Recommended.

Dry tootsies & looking cute while achieving that!
These boots are a great find! I live in the Southern US, so from March to September, we are certainly no stranger to evening thunderstorms. Often with those are quick, heavy downpours resulting in lots of standing water. I live on a farm, with lots to do outdoors, so I need something to allow me to get out when wet, while still keeping my feet dry. These boots are awesome!First of all, the most important aspect, keeping dry. While walking through puddles and mud my feet stayed clean and dry. They are very cute. I picked the pink as I enjoy looking feminine, and will try to every chance I get. Often good boots are very utilitarian. For a gal who loves fashion and standing out, that has left me pretty disappointed in the past when getting rain boots. It seemed my only options were cheap and silly, with child-like patterns all over the boot. Or plain black or blue. So, when I stumbled upon these with color and pattern options I was thrilled. These are easy to slip on thanks to the pull tabs at front and back. They are very comfortable, as they have a cushioned sole. Which brings me to my only issue. The sole is not attached to the shoe in any way. So, every single time I take off the shoe, the insole comes halfway out of the shoe. Then putting it on, I have to be very careful making sure the sole stays in place.I did feel I had to remove a star for that, as it could be easily fixed with a simple stitch or two to hold them in place. Everything about these boots seems high quality, except that. The sizing seems to run a bit large. I am typically a 7.5 to 8. I honestly thought I ordered an 8, but apparently I mistakenly clicked 7, and it must've been fate because sure enough, the 7 fits perfectly. So, I would recommend going a half size down when ordering.
