Paired with the correct servo and servo horn, awesome upgrade!!
I know it’s frustrating when aftermarket parts don’t come with instructions, so here are a couple tips for aluminum steering.- You MUST grease one half of the servo saver, so it’s not metal on metal, and without grease, you will get contamination in the joint, (mineral deposits from water, dust, etc.). Consider this routine maintenance to take the servo saver apart, and grease it, just like bearings.- The black spring is softer, the silver spring is stiffer.- New, rubber sealed bearings will work better in the long run, and do not forget to add anti-seize compound to any steel/aluminum mating surface.- Blue threadlok must be applied, lightly, on all screws.- For the toe links, and servo linkage, in order to tighten up any play, install rubber o rings around the ball joints, (too and bottom), and use graphite to lubricate the ball joint.- Never use stainless steel screws on steering linkage.
