i'm not sure what the layers are but after mixing, it's a lovely thinnish liquid that's hazy. 1 dropper squeeze for all 10 fingers and with a few seconds of rubbing it in, it disappears into your skin.

This Light & Shadow Cuticle Oil Serum by Aprés is unique in several ways. For one, it smells so good I could wear it as perfume. There is added 7fragrance in this cuticle oil, it is called Winter Returns, and though I never want winter to return, I could certainly stand to smell this oil over and ouver again. The listing describes it as pear, hyacinth and amber, and I have to say it smells pretty true to those notes- it is absolutely delightful.Another unique thing about this cuticle oil is that it's not very oily. It needs a good shake to blend all the components together, but even after some vigorous shaking it comes out a bit watery. I thought this very odd at first, but it has healed my cuticles in a matter of days and my nails look beautiful. Lesson learned - this oil absorbs quickly, and leaves both my nails and cuticles looking much healthier.Another interesting thing is that this cuticle oil contains turmeric, which I've never seen before in a nail oil. As it turns out, turmeric can help fight infection, reduce inflammation and promote healthy growth, so it's an excellent ingredient to put into cuticle oil.This was a great find for me. Under stress I have been known to pick at my cuticles, but this oil helped them to heal very quickly. And, the fragrance stays on my fingers as a pleasant reminder to leave them alone! Light scent but very pleasant. And I’m really picky about scents as I’m prone to migraines. Super hydrating on my very dry skin and soaks in really quickly which I personally love.
