Works with 4K 120Hz HDR from PC
Works fully with a PC, signal output from a RTX 4090 at 4K 120Hz 10 or 12bit RGB, including HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. The fiber optic cable and the lack of a fat HDMI plug is definitely easier to run long distances than a typical HDMI cable.Note: Not sure if isolated to my setup with a S90D OLED, but the CEC issue with Samsung TV's is present, whereby when plugging in the HDMI dongle will interfere with CEC volume control on/off control of other devices such as HDMI eARC soundbar. When you unplug the HDMI dongle, the other devices kick back in for those functions. Dealing with it by putting the microUSB power plug at the display end behind a smart plug, and turning it off when I don't use my PC

Works very well, minor caveat
This thing worked great. I have my computer about 85-90’ away from my office (basement to 2nd floor) because it outputs too much heat—makes the office too toasty. Used to use HMDI over Ethernet extenders, but their durability was inconsistent. I tried another 100’ HDMI cable that claimed to be also fiber optic, but it wouldn’t even do 2K reliably. I think an HDMI run that long simply needs to be powered, which the other cable wasn’t.This RUIPRO cable seems to be the real deal—I get 4K at 60 Hz with ease. Pulls through conduit pretty easy too. Worth all the money, at least so far.I will note that it does seem to have a bit of a handshaking issue with my monitor (Samsung U32J590UQN) where I have to cycle inputs after the computer wakes up from sleep.

A Pure Fiber HDMI Sleeper Cable to Wake Up your System
I normally don't leave reviews but I'm so impressed with this Ruipro Pure Fiber Cable on initial usage that I wanted to get my thoughts down while still fresh. First a little about my HT equipment, my sources are Ruko 4K ultra, nVidia Shield, Mac Mini all connected to a Marantz 8805 processor which feeds a Panasonic PT-RQ13K, 3-Chip 4K DLP projector with 4K content. The Panny PT-RQ13K can also shift incoming content up to 5K (5120 x 3200) which is slightly above 5K(5120 x 2880). This is all shown on a 120" diagonal acoustic screen in a light controlled. My run is not that long at 35FT but I've always used fiber cables in my HT because I noticed a long time ago that fiber add more vibrance to colors and also brings out fine details over copper HDMI cables IMO. I'm currently running a fiber cable I previously purchased from Amazon but I wanted to give the RUIPRO cable a try because this is only fiber HDMI cable on Amazon which states upfront in the description that its a pure fiber cable with no copper.Installation of the RUIPRO cable was straight forward, I happened to have a 5.0V USB power adapter laying around the house for use with the cable since my projector doesn't have a USB port. Other than that, the instructions are clear and simple.I used "Wicked" and "The Neighborhood" as my test material as both have vivid contrasting colors.Contrast - I notice right away when switch back and forth btw the two fiber cables, the Puipro has the bright cleaner whites. Bright colors and the shiny material in Glenda good witch's dress really shined through.Brightness/Shadow Details - now this is where the Ruipro also shined in the opening scene of Wicked I noticed more punch and richness in the dark and earth tone colors of the scene. There was more 3D depth in the walls and floors and finer details where easily noticed over my other fiber cable. I was impressed and there was a smile on my face as I watched this scene.Colors - This is were I fell in love with this cable because I as I watched the opening of Wicked for the umpteenth time for testing, I really noticed allot more vibrance and depth in colors. When viewing the weaved materials in clothing I could easily see the various colors in the threading of the material. This is were you know you have a good fiber cable because all varying shades of color start to jump out at you and catch your eye.Fine Detail - This is also highlight by this cabled, I noticed right away how buildings had more fine detail depth in the building materials. I could easily see the pitting, layering, and varying shades in the stucco material on the walls. I really noticed the overall improvement of the details in all the scenes in Wicked and The Neighborhood. Improvement in detail help give the content more body and depth it's the difference of seeing eye lashes as a whole versus seeing an individual eyelash clearly if that makes sense. Conclusion - As some one who has been in the HT hobby since 1999 and started out using CRT projector, I'm always on the hunt for improvement to my picture quality and I think RUIPRO is an improvement over other fiber cable and copper even if your run is not that long. The improvements are easily visible especially in video content with multi hues of colors and materials. Darken scenes will have more visible textures and depths and test with sharper and easier to read.I purchased this cable with my own funds and this is the first product I've purchased from this RUIPRO. I cannot comment on longevity of the cable due to the short ownership period. Should it fail in a short period of time, I will update my review.Hope this review helps someone else make a decision on this cable because I think this is a sleeper and should be tried in your system. You can always send it back if it doesn't wake up the color vibrance and fine details of your particular setup but it will not turn a $400 TV/Projector into a $5000 TV/ProjectorSemper FI & EnjoyAndre

Finally someone did it!
This is the single best idea for long cables ever and it is executed well!It is modular and can be extended as you wish, no proprietary cable connections ,etc.It works perfectly as advertised. I am having the full 48Gbps from PC to monitor over 100ft.I love the idea that I can bring my own fiber cable and use them as my application needs it.@RUIPRO: please if you read this, make DisplayPort and Thunderbolt cables the same way. PLEASE!!And the best would be if you would offer "only kits" that does not have the fiber cable only the adapters. That would be amazing!Either way thank you for thinking and releasing this product. Finally a perfect solution for my long distance data cable needs. (HDMI2.1 checked, now please make the same for DP2 and TB5/USB4)

Very Weak Signal
The dongle and fiber cable together work out to over 3 inches long, which means they won't fit behind most TVs. Despite being powered, the signal they produce is so weak that ANY cable or adapter in line will cause it to have intermittent signal at 4K60, with continuous drops to black screen. I've ensured that the cables and adapters I've tried are HDMI 2.1 and well rated and I've tried three different ones from different manufacturers and different form factors, but all of them eventually run into the same intermittent black screen problem. With the screen taken off the wall so the cable can directly connect it works fine.If you don't need 4K60 or you have plenty of room for a massive connector to stick out, then you may not run into this issue. If both of those are true then it will be a huge waste of time and money. That is not acceptable from an expensive, powered HDMI cable.
