Nova Maple Syrup The family is produced in northwest Pennsylvania and sustainably harvested from our own hardwood forests. We pride ourselves on making the best syrup possible, and are confident that you will enjoy it as much as we like to prepare it. Use it for candy, meat, and breakfast treats. INTERNATIONAL RATING SYSTEM - Nova Maple Syrup uses the new international rating system that kicked 2 1/4" force in April. All the syrup we sell is Grade A, although sub-levels vary depending on weather, trees, and individual season. We ship the golden delicate taste of grade A, amber, dark robust and very dark strong. We do not ship a new Class B commercial syrup (formerly Class C) Darker syrup has a stronger maple flavor than lighter maple syrup and is in no way inferior. Both are equally sweet and are made from 67% natural sugar and 33% water. It all depends on personal taste preference. No chemical/organic herbicides/pesticides are used to make this syrup. The plastic jug is 100% BPA free and hot packed/sealed for safety. No artificial flavours, preservatives or dyes. Review: Tasted burnt/ chemically ... not like pure Maple product - Tasted chemically and almost burnt. It may have just been a bad batch or the little plastic containers it's sold in as I think this is the same company I've ordered the Maple Sugar Candy from before and if it is the same company then that was good. But, that was over a year ago so not certain it was this company. Review: Like others, we noticed this has a sort-of burnt flavor - It’s a good value and what’s not to love about a young married couple creating this product on their farm? We were hoping to find something comparable to (don’t laugh) Trader Joe’s maple butter after their seasonal supply ran out. Nova is good but Trader Joe’s is off the charts good. We’ll work our way through this one and try another brand, hoping for one as good as Trader Joe’s. Really wish this was not in a plastic container.
