Great supplement. It helped me improve my iron levels and I feel more energetic. Unlike others I’ve tried, it didn’t upset my stomach. Totally recommend it.

As I like to donate blood and am vegetarian, I have to supplement with iron. I take a lot of iron, especially heme iron every evening, but I like to take a non-heme iron in the mornings. Usually I take ferrous sulphate, so I happy to try this ferrous fumarate. I was pleased with it, not having any upset stomach or digestive issues. If I take two ferrous sulphate pills together, it makes me ready to throw up, and while I haven't taken two of these, they seem pretty mild on the system. I am impressed with the company, and given the price of heme iron, find this pretty reasonably priced. I make sure to take these with vitamin C pills for absorption (I think a glass of orange juice doesn't offer enough vitamin C, so better to supplement). It is also important to avoid having dairy products or grains too close to consumption of the iron as they block absorption.

Turns out I didn't really need this...I took a home iron deficiency test and it told me that I was deficient. Wrong, according to a hemoglobin meter. I was actually in very normal territory. However, I did take it for a very short period and it brought my readings up correspondingly ( but not enough to have iron overload). so by that metric, I can say that these pills are effective. Take with food, btw, to avoid constipation.

I had been using a ferrous sulfate iron supplement for many years. This is ferrous fumarate so I wasn't sure if I would notice any difference. And looking up the difference there is very little. I have not noticed any changes or any side effects by switching to this. Seems to be functioning as it should. The tablets are also small and easy to take without any funny smell or aftertaste.

My iron has been reeeaaallly low. These do not irritate my stomach, and no constipation. BUt I do make sure I drink a lot of fluids with it and afterwards. I have not gotten my levels checked yet, but I am hopeful they will be more normal.
