Excellent phone
battery life could have been better.Other than that - very good improvement over the previous generation: shape (round corners), screen, sound, touch sensor (!), and most importantly, camera quality.Screen glass is very good, it even doesn't need protector film. It's excellent compact phone. The last of its kind, there are no competitors to it.

Xperia is Xperia
You can never go wrong with Xperia. This XZ2 Compact is indeed a compact device. But due to it's compact build, it is built to be thicker in order to pack all the flagship features in its small body. It's heavier too (compared for example to Huawei p10 or Galaxy S10e). Flagship performance, excellent display, very good sound and Sony-blessed camera, small size, IP68, and having a lesser price tag now compared to it's original announced price 1 year ago; all things considered, this is indeed a 5-star device. Kudos to the seller for dropping the price.

One of very few Compact machines these day
I used to have very high expectation of this machine but I have to say SONY somewhat failed my expectation.Good point:1. Good sound quality both in-play and external-play.2. Very good battery life, as a heavy user, only 2870mAh could sustain a whole day, rare.3. Good hold experience.Bad point:1. Comparatively heavy, it feels less comfortable than my Sony XZ1(The one I used to replace to)2. It would fail call sometimes, less clear call versus XZ1.3. NO 3.5mm Jack sucks.(I knew it before I purhcase but I hate it)4. Hard to find a real good case anyway.Generally, if you hate iOS, then XZ2Compact and R2Compact were your only choice for a flagship compact phone. If you were ok with all system, then go for iPhone11Pro. That can be better than XZ2Compact.AboveUpdate.About two months later, I finally returned this device and suffered 20% discount even it is not my fault. There are few problems that I no longer recommend it.4 points now.1. I think all shipments of XZ2c have phone call problem, you would hear circuit noise when you make a call which is really alloying.2. Yellowish display, no matter what method you applied to this phone, it simply do not work.3. Glue problem at the upper side of the phone face.4. Its USB C connector have problem.Other things like network lag behind or refresh problem, I think that is my device problem, not universal.BTW, it seems the right time to say good bye to Sony phone as other phones are such gorgeous, why should we stick on this brand who do not make effort themselves.Abovd

Mediocre Compact Phone
Material: Phone has an aluminum rim (buttons included), but a plastic backing.Camera: It is alright, but seems less impressive than a galaxy s9 when it comes to video and slow motion capturesPicture Quality: Screen is vibrant and clear!Sound: Just outstanding!Battery: Honestly poor for being as small as it is... But if you're not a power user it could easily last all day!

Thanks Sony for making good phones that aren't huge.
Amazing phone. Everything runs lightning fast and the camera with HDR is amazing. Love the dedicated camera button. I hope Sony never stops making these compact devices.
