Good looking and quality mat
This is a great mat, simple design and looks nice. It's a good size, long length. The thickness creates a good surface with enough support, but still firm/not squishy. It has a grippy material and I do not slide on it. It is easy to roll up and store. I have only used the mat on carpet so far, but it didn't ripple and laid flat the entire time. This was for yoga. I don't think it would stay flat on carpet if doing a more movement intensive exercise. It seems like it would on hard floor though. Overall, I like this mat. For the price, I would likely explore another option before purchasing again. It is a nice mat, but I believe there are yoga mats for a similar price with additional perks.

Good Yoga Matt
Padding is good and dense. Feet stick to the surface well. Sweat leaves a mark.

A nice high quality yoga mat
This yoga mat seems quite nice. It’s very THICK & durable. I’ve not done much yoga in the past. I’d ordered this mat mostly to use for stretching. That being said, now that I have this mat, it honestly makes me want to start practicing yoga on a regular basis 😄 The mat I used to have was MUCH thinner & flimsier than this one. When I do stretches on this mat, there’s no slippage at all which is awesome! It’s very comfortable to use with plenty of support. And I’m 5’4” & it’s the perfect size for me. Though it could be just a little bit too short/small for someone who’s on the taller side. But I can’t really know for sure because… well, I’m kind of a shorty over here lol 😆A few additional things to note:When you unroll this mat right out of the box, it does curl up. So it needs to be rolled backwards & given some working to get the folding/curling out which could take some time & effort. It’s definitely a little bit on the heavier side (it’s made out of a thick rubber after all!). So just keep that factor in mind if you’re planning to carry this mat around with you.The price tag for this mat is pretty steep. But… if you can afford it & you know that you’re going to get a ton of use out of it, then that hefty price may be worthwhile to you. And I imagine this yoga mat will last for a very long time as well. So if you take into account all the usage that you’re likely going to get out of it, then that price tag makes a bit more sense in the long term.

I don’t recommend this seller, but the mat is amazing!
I’m conflicted on how to review this from this seller. The mat I received from them was damaged, with ripples throughout the mat. Prior to returning I contacted Bala to ask if this was normal (sent them several pictures) and they stated the entire surface should be smooth, and that ripples indicate a damaged/defective mat. That being said, I purchased another directly from Bala and I highly recommend! It’s obviously got some weight to it because it’s dense not foamy like other 5-8mm mats, but I still carry it to and from the gym. It does leave sweat spots, no matter the color, so I also purchased their mat towel - which makes a huge difference in protecting the mat itself. I’ve used the mat/towel for several months now and couldn’t be happier.I would not recommend purchasing from this seller, but definitely recommend the Bala mat directly from Bala!

Really nice
This yoga mat is super beautiful. First off the color is very nice and soft. It is so thick and heavy and stays put, which is awesome when you’re trying to use it on a different type of floor other than grass. I love it. it is a high price, but I feel it’s always definitely worth it to have a great yoga mat for your practice.

Comfy yoga mat!
This is a high quality mat - worth $99? You be the judge. I can't say I'm a yoga mat connoisseur, but I've definitely done my share of yoga. My current mat is a typical cheaper mat - with a lot of texture to it. You'll see it in the pictures included. Here are my observations:Pros:* Very first thing I noticed - this mat is HEAVY! Obviously significantly more than my current mat(s). The 2 pictured - one is an Everlast mat from TJMaxx - weighing in at 2# 2.5oz. The next is a mat from Amazon with lines - weighing in at 1# 12oz... and then this Balla mat - weighing in at 6# 13.75 oz... Hefty! Not bad... but likely not a mat I would take with me from class to class? but I primarily workout at home, so not something I have to consider.* The padding is no joke - you can see in the pictures the density of the rubber - significant improvement from my previous lightweight mats!* The smooth service is dreamy and no slippage w/ my feet. It works great as a workout mat.Cons/Neutral:* As you'll see in the pictures - there are 2 scuffs - I think from where the mat was rolled up. I don't expect they'll disappear - and likely additional marks will eventually show up. Not awful, but for $99, I would expect perfection out of the box.* Offgasing - minimal, but when I was working out closer to the mat, it smelled like fresh tires... Definitely a rubber smell, but hoping that will dissipate.* One reason I was looking for a new mat was that my current mat - which is at least 4 years old - still will not lie flat no matter which direction I roll it up. This Balla mat was tightly rolled - so I'm optimistic that with time it will lie flat as well. The front easily did, but the back (interior of the roll as it was shipped) never fully laid down - after 3 workouts and rolling the mat the opposite way, it’s not perfectly flat, but better.* oil and sweat show up and take awhile to fade/dry out. BUT, then I know to clean it! And a bit disgusted at mats you can’t see this on. See the last image - this was a forehead mark from doing a pigeon pose 12 hours ago.
