Works as it should fast and efficient great for office and home just be close to a outlet if using for 4 hours or more

This is my first brand New Laptop is Years, and let me tell you!!! this thing FLY!! very responsive, with multiple windows open all the time... I did get 64 GB of ram and 2 TB HD (WAY WAY More than i need). but there wasnt a option for 1 TB and 64GB. If i had one draw back.... the Keyboard is NOT Back Lit, which was a big negative. BUT a huge plus was the lifetime Office suite license. So far it works as intended and i would recommend this to most any family for work or home... id give it 8/10 ..also the price was $999.00

I bought this for my son. He loves it.

Dell makes a decent computer, so I have no complaints there. My problem is that the item is not as described. I was looking for a laptop with an optical drive so I could play dvd's and cd's. I googled those specific requirements and was directed to this laptop. Then, while on amazon, I again entered laptops + optical drive. Again, this computer came up. Under the section "ask a question" I asked if I could play dvd's on this and the answer was yes. So, imagine how disappointed I was when I saw that it has no optical drive and I'll need to buy an additional device to play the one dvd I purchased this laptop to play. So, while the laptop is okay, it didn't meet my expectations. Had I known there was no optical drive, I wouldn't have purchased it. It arrived a day before I had to leave for an extended period of time, so there was no convenient opportunity to return it.

When I first found this laptop the price was misleading. It showed $3799.00 and that was crossed out and the price was $999.00, which leads someone to believe that it was a REALLY GOOD DEAL. It is a Dell so that is good and it has 64 GB Ram and 2 TB memory, which is great, but I wish now I had held out for what I really wanted. My old laptop has a backlit keyboard, Beats Audio, and volumn adjustment on the keyboard, but was only 8 GB Ram. Since I was getting so much RAM and memory I didn't think the other things were a deal breaker, but they were. I wish I had not bought this laptop. It's a good laptop but it's not GREAT. I would like to return it before my window to return closes but I just downloaded Quicken and got OneNote transferred from my old laptop so I'll probably keep. I may give it to my grandson for school when I find one with all the bells and whistles I want. If you're thinking about buying it is a good laptop but if you want more features, hold out for what you want.

This new Dell laptop computer was recommended to me because of the qualities of the intel core i7 processor. I am very happy with this laptop computer and the great price.
