Smooth Upgrade: Laifen Wave Special with USB-C Convenience
I’ve been using the original Laifen Wave for months, and switching to the Laifen Wave Special feels like a noticeable upgrade. The handle is a bit thicker and more comfortable. Even though it vibrates fewer times per minute, the brushing motion feels smoother and gentler, yet my teeth still feel wonderfully clean. The battery lasts almost two months on the gentle setting, which means I don’t have to hunt for a charger before trips, and now with the USB-C charging port, plugging in is so much easier and more convenient. Its seamless finish keeps it looking fresh—no hidden spots for toothpaste to build up—and the bristles reach between my teeth without irritating my gums. Overall, brushing with the Wave Special just feels more reliable and pleasant every day.

Just from the dentist clean!
I am beyond pleased with my yellow Laifen Wave SE toothbrush. It arrived very well packaged, with everything needed - toothbrush, brush heads, charging cable, instructions and information about the Laifen app which allows you to customize your preferred brush settings.I have the previous version of the Wave and I was completely happy with it, too. I'll compare the two- Finish/Feel: • Wave SE has a matte coating. It provides a little extra grip if wet, but doesn't feel 'rubbery' at all • Wave original has a sleeker surface, and can feel a bit slick if wet Functionality: • Both can be placed in travel mode either via the app, or by a long press of the power button • I have inadvertently turned the Wave SE on a couple of times when wiping it off after use, so the button may be more sensitive than the original Wave • Both have three levels of brushing that can be easily changed by double tapping on the power button Charging: • Wave SE uses USB-C to charge, with a covered charging port. The battery life is incredibly long. It's advertised to last up to 50 days! • Wave original uses a magnetic charging cable. The charging port is not covered, but I never had an issue with it. Performance: • Since getting my original Wave, my teeth have never felt cleaner. I feel that the Wave and Wave SE do an outstanding job of tooth and gum care. • I like the 2-minute timer, which helps ensure I'm spending the proper amount of time brushing. Both also have a 30-second notification vibration, to help brush each quadrant of my mouth equally.I would - and have - recommended this product to friends. I've become a fan of all things Laifen - Wave SE and Wave toothbrushes, and the Laifen SE hair dryer! Quality products from a quality company.

I like it but not as much as my older Laifen toothbrush
Love the packaging. My sister said it was like opening an certain fruit phone brand. The toothbrush is such a pretty milky pink and matches all my other pink personal care beauty appliances. However, it scratches easily but I didn’t notice them until I started taking close up pics. I didn’t realize how different it was from my titanium Laifen toothbrush. It’s a lot lighter of course, but the pink wave special toothbrush is still a quality plastic toothbrush that has a comfortable matte finish to hold and touch. The body is a lot longer than the titanium one but the brush heads are shorter so both toothbrushes have the same dimensions with their respective brush heads. I’m not sure if Laifen has changed the brush head dimensions from now on because I’ve stocked up on a year’s worth of the long ones for my titanium toothbrush. The brush heads are interchangeable, as you can see in one of my photos, I used the longer brush head from the titanium one on the newer pink toothbrush instead of opening the shorter one to use. The wave special uses a Type-C charger now and you have to open the port on the bottom of the toothbrush. It’s easy to charge that way but I liked the magnetic click to charge on my titanium one even though that is a bit awkward to charge. Overall, still recommend laifen for their quality products. I've had my titanium brush for a year now with no signs of wear or random stops like some other reviewers have said. I look forward to using the pink one too, even with the scratches. I am thinking about gifting Laifen toothbrushes this upcoming holiday season after my dental hygienist said my teeth was the cleanest she'd seen this month out of all her other patients. I attribute that to this toothbrush (and flossing on the regular).

SE version is worth the extra $ - love the matte gray!
So I got the matte gray color and it's actually really nice looking - kind of a light gray that looks pretty clean in the bathroom. We already had the Laifen hair dryer and loved it, so when we needed electric toothbrushes I figured why not stick with what works. Got the SE version for myself and the regular one for my girlfriend.Honestly the main reason I went with the SE is because it's like an inch taller than the normal version. Sounds weird but it's actually super practical - when you put it by the sink, water doesn't splash on it as much. With shorter toothbrushes my girlfriend always had that annoying problem. The unboxing was pretty satisfying, nice packaging and everything. Comes with two brush heads - a light gray soft one and a blue medium one. I'm using the soft one and it feels great.Charges with USB-C which is convenient, and there's an app you can mess around with if you want to customize settings. The toothbrush itself is really powerful and gets my teeth super clean. Been using it every day and definitely feel like it's doing a good job.If you're thinking about the regular vs SE version, I'd say go for the SE if you can. The extra height thing is more useful than you'd think, and the whole thing just feels really well made. Coming from someone who's had good luck with Laifen stuff before, this is another winner.
