Mead Laminator, Thermal, HeatSeal Lamination Machine, 9.5" Max Width, includes EZAlign Laminating Sheets / Pouches (M1701862)

I finally used this for the project I had originally intended it for. Yes there is a learning curve to get the laminating done properly so be sure to practice. BUT there were no directions of how to use what they call "laminating sleeves". So I ruined all of the sleeves that came with the machine and still didn't have my project done. But here is the really BAD thing. Because the directions were either non existent or insufficient, the machine immediately ate my first attempt...never to be seen again. It's inside wrapped around the roller. The machine did not catch on fire and I was able to continue using it but then it did it again...ate the sleeve...so now there are 2 sleeves wrapped around the roller. I am afraid to try to use it again and the machine does not open up so I can't go in and get them off. I tried reaching a knife inside (unpugged of course) but it's wrapped around really tightly and I couldn't budge it. So...if you get this machine...find out first what it means by "small projects" and then figure out how to use the sleeve before inserting anything.As for me, I never got my project done and I believe the machine is useless. Oh well. I give it 3 stars because I am probably partially to blame for some of it...but then again I have an MA and am VERY adept at crafting and arts and handiwork....

It was packaged very nicely it came with 5 sheets and I only needed two. UPS near me wanted 10 bucks for three one sided sheets, and these are two sided with 3 extra. The indicator isn't a light like it says, it's a thermal sensor like a mood ring so it slowly changes for black to red with no light. It takes about 3 minutes for it to fully turn red like it says on the package. After you push it a little into the device it goes smoothly through just make sure you push it in very inline.

I got this laminator at the beginning of the semester. Being a college student I make tons of flash cards and charts. With that being said I used to somehow ruin them but ever since I had the idea to laminate them I haven’t had a problem! This laminator works great. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because ever since I got it the ready light on top hadn’t worked. Not a huge deal though, I just estimate when it’s ready!

It works good for the price but not the best quality result. It does an OK job if you're not fussy. I don't think the element gets hot enough. Can still see the writing on the laminating plastic. I waited about 5 minutes between laminations, too. I even ran it through twice. This helped little. Seems to heat better if laminating a very small item (like 3"x5").

I just got it today. Last laminatorni spent over $40 got jammed in the middle of use and I use it for business. I ordered this one. It came on time , packaged well but the red light never came on. It heated up ok but my last one seemed a bit hotter. I use for transfer fouling as well and it didn’t do too well with that. I had to run it through a few times just for spotty foil transfer. After being in for about an hour the rest light never came on. I needed to get an order out but I will not be ordering another one. I also did regular laminating with it and again it was just ok. I gave 3 stars for being delivery and packaging.

Very good machine for so little money would recommend

I bought some binding supplies and the paperback sheets were way too thin. I used this laminator to reinforce them so that paper wouldn’t go to waste. I really liked it. Works perfectly fine. I only laminate letter size so I wouldn’t know how it works otherwise. Doesn’t take too long to heat up. Button turns red when it is hot then it kinda of sucks the paper in as soon as you feed it through and doesn’t take too long to laminate.

After ordering this laminating machine (along with 100 laminating sheets) I don't know how I lived without it. I laminate pictures before I frame them, turn all kinds of signs, worksheets, etc into write on, wipe off. At this low price, just order it and I promise you will love it. Super easy, space saver and is ready to go in 3 minutes.

No calienta mucho es buena calidad pero si le hace falta algo mas de calor.

El precio fue de $435.77 , mas bajo que otras y ademas viene con algunas micas incluidas y sirve para micas de 3 y 5 mm. Su forma mas cuadrado permite que sea facil de almacenar.Ya enmique una hoja opalina de calibre grueso y sin problema para enmicar. Los atascos no son un problema porque solo presionas y jalas la hoja o desarmas facilmente (4 tornillos y ya).Mi padre trato de re-enmicar uan credencial de papel muy vieja que se había despegado y esta se desarmo, quedando una parte atascada dentro de la enmicadora, sin embargo, fue super facil de abril y desatorar.PERO,el unico problema, como dicen todos los usuarios, es el LED. Se supone que es rojo pero la verdad no prende, y de prender tendría que ser verde para saber que esta prendido y listo. Sin embargo sigue siendo un producto decente.NO SE PUEDE FACTURAR en Mexico tampoco.

Adquirí la laminadora hace algunos meses y hasta el momento me funciona sin problemas. Calienta en un buen tiempo y la eh usado con micas de 3 y 5mm, en las que en la primera pasada quedan, sin embargo suelo darle 2.

Solo es funcional con mica termica delgada, la gruesa no la sella
