Motor Died On First Ride
UPDATE: Revising my review to 5 stars. Jupiter replaced the defective bike with a brand new one. Received it in a couple days. Great customer service.Love the bike design but very disappointed in the quality. Motor died on our first ride. Expected more given how expensive it is. Called Jupiter and was told I have to file a warranty claim. Will change my rating based on what type of service they provide. And how quickly they fix the problem.

Works great after hard use
I bought my Jupiter Bike two months ago and have had a great experience with it. I have a three-mile commute through the middle of downtown DC, with potholes, crazy drivers and lots of start-and-stop. The range is a little diminished by urban use (I would guess it's about 9 miles), but the bike has otherwise performed very well. Compared to an electric scooter I find the following advantages:It's as light, but less prone to wiping out on little bumps.Because it folds up into a ball shape (and not longways like a scooter), it's easier to carry and to stow at restaurants, where the staff view it as more like a briefcase. No one has ever objected to me bringing it in.It has metal parts that appear to be easily replaceable and are analogous to a bike.I was also told by the seller that the battery wheel could be replaced for an amount that is significantly less than the cost of the bike, which I hope to make use of when the time comes.People love the design: cops, businesspeople, everyone asks about it. It starts a lot of fun conversations.Anyway, it's a great product that (at least after two months of heavy use) seems worthy of your investment. I'll update this post with any further relevant experiences.
