You need some decent binoculars but are on a tight budget, what with the cost of assault rifles and body armor now-a-days. Well take heart. This pair of marine/military style 7x50 binocs with analog compass and ranging recticle (math required) will fit the bill. "But they are from China!" you say. Well look at your MAGA hat. That is made in China and it didn't stop you from buying it and voting for Trump.You need to get your priorities straight son. If these decently made, clear, simple and sturdy binoculars are good enough for the People's Republic Army and Navy you can use them to run around in the woods shooting red cans of paint with your AR-15. The rubberizing and construction is quality, the design is simple and extremely functional No excess bumps, no loose parts, no extra junk.The individual focusing eye pieces are accurate, stiff and smooth. Adjust it once and it is yours and at $125 you can buy the entire squad a pair. See the pics. The compass and clearly legible ranging reticle are in the right eye. The glasses are comfy to hold and look through, they are bright and clear. I spent a few hours roaming around the marina, in the rain, glassing boats and the open water. If you have to spend hours watching enemy movements these are the glasses your need. Me, I am planning on using them on my sailboat for whatever you need a good waterproof marine 7x50 binoculars with a compass and ranging guide for, replacing three crappy pairs I have had taking up space. I can be proud now to show off my "prepper worthy" binoculars to the raging right wing fisherman on the docks. Even though I am a queer rag bagger.Anyway...I took a pic through them with my phone, it's not perfect but it shows look and feel of the right eye. The left eye is clear. Also I folded down the eye cups and used my Rx glasses. Very comfy. First pair of binoculars I could actually do that. the compass is smooth if a little slow not obtrusive but if you need to get a bearing on an object you can easily. I did not put batteries in. Not planning to as I am do not do night operations as a day sailor.In conclusion, these binoculars are well made, simple and very functional. They are clear and bright, with a ease of use that would allow the user to glass a barren sea or a stand of trees for hours, waiting for enemy movement or a deer. I would buy these before Trump's trade war shuts down the flow of cheap well made military optics from making their way to your armory, for the price you can't get better and could do a lot worse. Only digs are the strap is a little wimpy and there is a black artifact in the right scope probably from the reticle manufacture or someones tag.Also, I am pretty sure these do not connect to the internet, china or the NSA. These binoculars seemed pretty well constructed, the IPD worked well with my narrow set eyes(!) and had good eye relief with adjustable eyecups that worked well with my glasses. The image was bright and clear, but I found the field was not flat and had considerable distortion at the edges - straight lines would look curved. I have seen much better performance with other binoculars in its price class. I returned them and bought a different brand.

These binoculars have clear optics and perform well for the price point. They are rather generic looking, but that doesn't affect the performance. The 8X power is great for general use, it has a wider field of view and is easier to stabilize than 10X binoculars. There aren't as many 8X options, so this is a good choice.

These are light enough to hang from my neck during walks. I use them for bird-watching and picking out details while hiking. The strap is abrasive on my skin and I will make a cloth covering for it. I wear glasses and it is very easy to use these binoculars with them. I chose these after much research and reading of reviews.

These binoculars were really really good. High clarity and resolution, good light gathering for stargazing. To my personal dismay, at 10x my hands are not steady enough to use them for long term viewing so I had to return them. But, if you have no issues with 10x and steady hands then buy these. They are well worth the money. You won’t be disappointed.

With just a small bump they started showing a double image, we could not complain since the warranty is only three months. Avoid buying this product.

Recommend a 4 way back harness for the binocs (inexpensive fine) and I used a cross shoulder bag if I was carrying it inside a bag and not the bag supplied with the binocs.
