I was starting to notice that rubber covering on my iPhone cord was starting to show wear. For my nightstand I have a 6’ Apple brand cord and those things are expensive. When I stumbled across these one day on Amazon I didn’t have high expectations, but thought I’d give them a try. I am so glad I did. For me, they were easy to put on and went on without any problems. I do feel like it covered the part of the cord that was showing wear and it’s sturdy enough to prevent further damage. I like these little things so much I decided to put one on my travel charging cord so it’s easier to tell mine apart from my friends or family’s. I know several people have said they’re difficult to put on - but I feel like as long as you follow the included directions there’s not much to it. I should note that I put mine on opposite of what the instructions said because I wanted the thicker part to be on the cord to prevent bending as much as possible.

These collars come with an installation tool that you can assemble assemble easily. It works like a reverse needle nose pliar. You slip the collar onto the two tapered arms and spread it. Then you slide it over the end plug and up to the device joint where it supports the wire inlet into your device. In this case it was our Alexa. That device has the fattest plug in profile and I was not sure the collar could even go over it. But, with a little persuasion, it slipped on, and up the the inlite so now the wire is supported by this neopreme collar. It extended the life of the Alexa cord that had already shown signs that the outer insulation was trying to separate. I Highly recommend this little device!

These do help, and I'm glad to have them. Cords for Apple devices are so expensive - so these were definitely worth trying. They are a bit difficult to put on with arthritic hands because they are so tight, but they need to be tight! They do slide a bit over time, so just be aware to reposition them as needed.

I received some Apple ear buds for Christmas and felt the cord at the plug end was particularly fragile. I decided to try these inexpensive Cord Collars. So far, they have worked great and not slipped down. The kit includes a nifty little plastic spreader tool that stretches the Collar so the plug inserts through it. I decided to extend the Collar over the bottom of the white plastic plug and that seems to protect the cord even more. When you grip the plug, you're also gripping the top part of the Collar. I've used all eight collars on other cords. I'm not real crazy about the Collar colors (black, blue, yellow, pink) but I get the idea that the color variations help distinguish cord ownership. A solid buy for the money.

I love these little cord collars. I’ve been using them for years. They are very helpful and keeping your iPhone cord from breaking at the seams and they also add a little bit of color to your cord so that you can have a little bit of personality. they are a little difficult to install but once you understand how to install them, it’s not that hard so just make sure you follow the instructions. I personally love the pink and I have the pink ones on all of my cords so I’ve bought several packs so I’m able to do that. I would highly recommend them. It prolongs the life of your iPhone cord, especially if you’re gonna be using it in bed so That it sometimes bends a little bit more where you plug your phone in

2/2022: I just received this today an mu initial impression of the device is mixed. It took my about 15 minutes to get the piece applicator put together. It was very difficult so slide the piece together but after trying both ways, I finally was able to get it together without a sledge hammer. If I had a small mallet handy that might have helped but I only had a 16 pound hammer and I was afraid I would break the plactic if used that. Ok, so the 2 pieces are together. I put one of the sleeves on it a spread it apart. At first I didn't think it was going to fit over the C end of my charger but it worked ad I got the sleeve on and the applicator removed. The sleeve fit snigly on the wider part of the cord. However, it doesn't look like it's very snug on the cord itself. I will watch it for awhile to see if it keeps the cord any straighter. My android charging cord is about 3 years old and just starting to curl at the phone end. It doesn't show any visible signs of coming apart, fraying, just bending further than maybe it should, which eventually will end in fraying. I will update it the future or if I use it on any other cords Okay, next thing is this comes in cardboard backed, plastic front package. There is nothing to store it in once opened. There are a bunch of sleeves and the applicator. It would be really, SUPER NICE, if the manufacturer provided a small box or bag to store these in. As it is, the pieces are going to get lost no matter where you store them. As it is, I bought some magnetic silicone twist ties at the same time. I added these to the very nice plastic bag with zip top that the ties came in. Unless I can find a container that will fit this applicator clip, this will be an inconvenience. So that's why only 3 stars at the moment. I doubt my opinion of these will improve to 4 or 5 stars unless the manufacturer sends me a bag or box to store this in, but it might go down in the future. I have no information on durability, sturdiness, or values for money at this time.

I used this to protect an iPhone cord that was damaged. It prevented the cord from becoming unusable. I placed the different colored pieces on all of the cords I have. The only drawback: there are only 8 in each item, 4 different colors which is only enough to protect 4 cords. I purchased 2 sets of 4 so I was able to protect 8 cables total. Of all the products I have used, after 2 months, I don't need to replace these. They were easy to put on and adjust with the tool (one step assembly) that was included with each set of 4. Overall, a really good product. No heating with a lighter, just place and go.

This is an amazing little package! Inside there are not only Cord Collars, but a nifty little tool to apply them. When I purchased the item; I thought it was overpriced. But I purchased it anyway, because I’ve learned to associate the “Night-Ize” brand with top-quality goods. This purchase did not disappoint! It was well worth the money spent! I had no idea that inside I’d find 2-little pieces of interlocking plastic; which when assembled as depicted in the instructions becomes a little tool to make swift work of applying the cord collars to reinforce the structure of the ends of the cables in my multiple cables so to lengthen their lifespan - slick. All the instructions are super clear; using the universal language of pictures (in colour) to inform the user how to configure the applicator tool, and how to apply the cord collars for the different types of cables. In conjunction with the applicator tool and instructions; it’s a breeze to apply the cord collars to a USB-A, USB-C or Lightning cable. Each type of cable has a slightly different approach of either placement, and/or the direction of orientation by which to apply.

同じ色で揃えたいところですが、この 4色入りのバージョンしか有りませんが、物としては凄く良いです。 無理して幅広の物に付けたり、角が立ってる物に無理矢理 装着する時に傷がついていた場合 裂ける事も有りますので、気をつけてください。
