Zvezda 7204 - Soviet Fighter MIG-3 - Plastic Model Kit Scale 1/72 length 11 cm/ 4.25" 36 Details

I collect and assemble 1/72 scale aircraft. This model comes from Russia and I was curious as to the quality. It is as expected at this price range. I will order others from the Zvezda line. The prompt shipping was Amazon Amazing.

Since this is comparable in price to an Airfix kit it is only fair that it be compared to an Airfix kit - and unfortunately there is no comparison at all.There was a lot of flash, the instructions were sparse enough to make guessing a decent option. There was a single pin & hole on the entire model (rear of the fuselage) which meant that wings and fuselage fit was a matter of lining the pieces up as best you could.There were few decals, but they weren't overly thick which was good.The best thing going for it was the subject. This is unfortunately an under-represented aircraft in modelling and fills a hole in my 1/72 WW2 collection, but if i were to make it again i would not choose Zvezda because honestly it was much more effort than it needed to be. (and double that thanks to the current Ukraine conflict, this is a Russian company).

ズベズタさんの1／72 ミグ３戦闘機はシャープで俊敏そうなフォルムが再現されています。(ドイツ機に苦戦したそうですが・・・)デカールはモスクワ防空隊とレニングラード戦線の２種類です。組み上がりは、日本の模型メーカーのようにはいかないと覚悟していましたが、バリは気になるほどではなく、合いは、良いとは言えませんが、何とか誤魔化せる範囲です。普通に飾っておく分には、見えないので問題ありませんが、主脚の格納部の再現は残念ながらお粗末ですので、ご留意を☝️

初ズベズダです。日本製のプラモデルに比べ、素材が柔らかいです。日本製よりも優しく持たないと、パーツがランナーから捻り取れます。パーツの合いは可も不可もありません。バリは少ないです。1/72で二次大戦機のロシア機は種類が少ないので、有り難いです。

本番ロシア製のMiG-3のキットですが、出来はイマイチです。まず機首が後期型、主翼が前期型になっており、整合性がとれていません。しかも機首は後期型としても不正確です。プロポーションは平面形は大体正確ですが、胴体断面形状は劣悪で、胴体上部のボリュームが不足過ぎでイメージを著しく損ねており、その弊害でキャノピーが小さすぎになっています。筋彫りは凹ですが、パネルラインは適当で、実機にあるものとないものが混在しています。他のディテールもかなり大味な再現です。正確なMiG-3を求めるならお薦めできないキットですが、このスケールではこれといった決定版キットが存在しないのが現状です。
