Does this camera work from battery or wired?

The V5P is a wired camera. Power is supplied to it by a 120V to 12V adapter that comes with it "out of the box".

The wifi connection distance can be up to 50 meters when the router and camera are separated by 2 walls. The wifi connection distance will be farther when there is no obstacle.
