Convenient. Easy to use. Could be less expensive . . . .
It works well to make keto biscuits and rolls. I make keto bread out of it. I am a repeat buyer. It is more expensive than I'd really like to pay, but when you are on a keto diet, carbs count and this is an easy way to make low carb bread. It is fresh and tastes great. Storing it is easy in this container. I'd buy it again.

This is a great product! It works just like cream when rehydrated and does not have an aftertaste.

Good substitute for those looking for a shelf stable version of heavy cream for their coffee
I purchased this product first and foremost for my coffee as a shelf stable alternative to refrigerated heavy cream and also for cooking and baking. As a former school trained chef I am particular in my tastes but in all honesty I was not expecting this to taste like fresh heavy cream. After reading the review about lumps, I took the advice of others and mixed about a teaspoon of hot coffee in the cup before adding the rest. It took a while to dissolve all the lumps with stirring...a slight annoyance but not enough to discontinue using the product. Even with all the stirring, a few small lumps were floating on the top when I added the rest of the coffee. A teaspoon of the powder gave me the right color for my coffee. The mouth feel was spot on for heavy cream and I spent the rest of the time finishing my cup trying to decide if I could tell the difference from the two. As others had commented, I did notice a grittiness at the very end of the cup, the last tablespoon or so. I decided to make my next cup with fresh heavy cream to see the difference. I added about a tablespoon of fresh heavy cream to my cup. Same color, same appearance. Mouth feel was the same but there was a definite difference in the taste, not sweeter but the dairy flavor I picked up with the fresh cream was most likely due to the milk sugars. That being said all in all I think this is a good product for those looking for a shelf stable alternative to heavy cream for their coffee. The flavor was close enough that I needed to make a cup with fresh cream to taste the difference. One star removed for the grittiness at the end and the lumps that take a lot of stirring to remove. I will purchase this product again.

Good cream, good company
I love this stuff! The flavor is good, maybe a little sweeter than fresh cream. I put it in coffee, and also use it for cooking. (I never have milk in the house. If a recipe calls for milk, I use half cream and half water.)I bought it for camping and for emergency prep; but I use it at home sometimes, just to finish off the jar before it expires. It keeps for a year or more even after the container is opened. When it turns yellow, I figure it's time to throw it away and get more.Mixing it is kind of funny: the powder is so light, it floats on top of the water for quite a while. If you want to make one pint of cream, use a 2-pint container with a tight-fitting lid. Then you can get the cream and the water in there, close the lid, and shake it. It will take an hour or so to fully rehydrate. Giving it another shake every 10-15 minutes will help.I've also ordered cheddar cheese powder, and several kinds of dried vegetables, from this company. I've been happy with all of them. Amazon had some trouble with my last order, but the nice folks at Hoosier Hill got it straightened out. Bon appetit!

Hard to mix
Product is a little difficult to reconsitute. Best if using in hot or highly blended foods. I did add it to milk and waited until the next day to use but was still too chunky to get mixed in my drink.

Fantastic Heavy Cream Powder for Ice Cream and Cooking!
I recently purchased Hoosier Hill Farm Heavy Cream Powder (2LB) and I’m beyond impressed with its quality and versatility! I’ve used it to make homemade ice cream, and the results were absolutely phenomenal—rich, creamy, and perfectly smooth texture every time. It dissolves easily and adds that luxurious creaminess without any fuss.Beyond ice cream, I’ve incorporated this powder into various dishes, from creamy pasta sauces to decadent soups and even baked goods. It’s a game-changer for recipes that call for heavy cream, especially since it’s shelf-stable and so convenient to have on hand. The flavor is spot-on, with no weird aftertaste, and it blends seamlessly into everything I’ve tried. The 2-pound pack is a great value, and the resealable bag keeps it fresh for multiple uses. I love that I don’t need to worry about running out of fresh cream anymore. Hoosier Hill Farm has nailed it with this product—highly recommend for anyone who loves cooking or making desserts at home! I’ll definitely be repurchasing.

Misleading
One n done order! I purchase heavy cream regularly from the grocery store. I bought this to use in low carb cooking, flour mixes for baking but also as a back up should I run out of cream. I mixed up as stated to make a cup, 6 TBs, I even weighed it out on my scale. I mixed well and put in the refrigerator. What I ended up with is a thin runny liquid. It does not have the mouth feel of heavy cream, at best it’s similar to a 2% milk and that’s being generous. I compared the ingredients to some other brands and noticed this one has non fat milk in it. The others have only sweet cream solids. I suspect there lies the problem. I’m not sure how this will perform in baked goods but I know it doesn’t perform the same in espresso, or other recipes that require heavy cream. It won’t whip up either and the carb content is higher than regular heavy cream, double the carbs likely from the added milk. Not worth it. Sadly it can’t be returned since it’s a food item so I’m stuck with it.
