Excellent gimbal. It takes a bit of practice to master the more advanced features and remember all the options available on the controls. (Thumbstick in the center and a control ring with up, down, left, and right clicks and double-clicks, plus an outer ring for zoom, plus a touch control border, plus a trigger!)Its only weakness is object tracking, but that's being really nit-picky. It tracks people very wellAll-around superb product with all promised functionality. Beautiful design, good battery life, and it holds my iPhone 16 Pro without issue. The camera app is quite nice, but it will also work with pretty much any other camera app since it has Apple Dock Kit compatibility.

The media could not be loaded. Great value for the price works very well. Can’t go wrong with this gimble it’s excellent. Used the AI tracking technology mostly and it was amazing even with a crowd of kids

However, in apps like WhatsApp video calls, I noticed it can only track a single subject, something to keep in mind for those using this outside the Insta360 ecosystem.That said, the major weak point is not the gimbal, it is the Insta360 mobile app. For someone who is not a seasoned videographer, the app experience can be overwhelming. There is a lack of beginner-friendly onboarding. While it technically has tutorial videos, they are not structured in a way that supports someone starting from zero. A step-by-step guide or a 'beginner mode' toggle would go a long way.I also found the user interface to be cluttered with unnecessary elements, such as social features, discovery feeds, and persistent update banners (like the one advertising version 2.0, without any easy way to check what version I am on). The hardware is premium and nothing short of astonishing.However, the Insta360 app experience on Android (as tested on S25U) needs more work, and can be big buggy.For my fellow android users, get the AI tracker gadget so you're not tied to the Insta360 app. And it's a really good idea to pair it via Bluetooth independently that way you can use the button controls.I really hope the insta360 devs spend more time to optimize their app with different android handsets.
