ARSLA-180LR21 Heavy Duty Long Reach Pruner

The 4' reacher is the perfect length when your hand pruner doesn't reach what needs cutting. I find I'm using it more than the 7' version I ordered several months ago–which I also find handy. It cuts well, holds the branch in place and is really light-weight. Nice combination: Light-weight, yet strong.

5 months still sharp. Cuts some thicker stuff but its used mostly to trim new branches before they are a problem.

I have two larger trees that I like to prune down each year because they are in front of my porch and I dont want them growing too high over it. Before I used a standard pruner and a ladder and decided to buy something longer this year to make it easier. Really happy with this device. Took about a quarter of the time it used to and the device is sturdy enough to cut those bigger shoots. Its also light enough to be used for a long period without over taxing my arms. Really happy with this purchase!

I simply love this tool! So easy to use and effective. Took it out of the box and immediately used it to trim a small tree and some overgrown branches in no time at all. Highly recommend!

I use this to cut greens that I sell to make Christmas wreaths. It works awesome! It stayed sharp all season and made me a ton of money on boughs that I couldn't reach before. It can cut through impressively thick branches. I used and abused this way beyond what it should have been and it took everything I could throw at it like a champ!

A well built pruner. Lightweight and easy to use. The blade is very durable. Used it extensively doing aggressive pruning on a variety of trees. The only downside as one other reviewer pointed out is that I too had a hard time with any branches over ½ an inch thickness. So ½ inch does seem like the practical upper limit for this pruner even though it is specified at ¾ inch cutting capacity.

I have only used this for two days of pruning. It feels and looks durable on the cutter end but the grip handle and lever end materials are both aluminum and plastic. On the second day of pruning, I lost the compression nut from the cutter rod fixing bolt so you might want to frequently check this nut and bolt. This is the only long reach pruner that I have any experience with so I am unable to compare this product to any other on the market.DAY THREEIn three days of intense pruning I have put this pruner through its paces on several apple trees and can conclude that this pruner is a rugged and well built tool that can stand up to some heavy duty work. Oh the compression nut was easily replaced for a few pennies and once I snugged it on it appears to have no indication of backing off. I conclude that the nut was probably not sufficiently tight from the factory so anyone who purchases one of these should tighten any loose hardware. I am changing my rating to 5 stars.
