The 55-inch QLED Mini LED TV is a great choice if you want a big, sharp screen without spending a fortune. The picture is bright, colorful, and clear, even in daylight, and the deeper blacks make movies look more cinematic. The slim design also makes it look sleek in the living room.Sound is decent for everyday use, though a soundbar will give you a better experience. The smart features are easy to use and let you jump quickly between streaming apps. Overall, it’s a solid TV for movies, sports, and gaming, offering excellent value for its size and quality.

So far, so good. This is the second TCL TV that I have purchased in the 2 years, and again, I'm not disappointed with taking a punt on TCL. Moving away from the big name brands of TV's that I have had in the past such as Samsung & Sony can fill you with a bit of trepidation but there is simply nothing to worry about.IMAGE - As seems to be standard with TCL the settings the TV ships with (picture wise), do need a fair bit of tinkering. In my case I had to up the clarity of the image and take a little bit of the brightness out, but once you've done that it's crystal clear. Hands down, it's one of the best images I've seen (I've also got a 55" Samsung OLED - this competes with that!). I've had zero issues with colour banding, ghosting or other modern day TV maladies.SOUND - The sound is exceptional - I was looking at getting a Hisense soundbar to beef up the sound but it's simply not needed. Dialogue is crystal clear and the bass is just enough (you can adjust all this to your needs though, so if you want more bass just up it in the audio menu). The sound is punchy though.OS - I had read on other TCL TVs horror stories with the Google TV operating system (which TBF I had encountered on my old Sony Bravia), but again whatever processor TCL is using it's fast, no lag, no menu hanging. So 10/10 for functionality.TV and remote - all was shipped in a well packaged box, it arrived on time with no damage, everything feels well made, and once you've paired up the Bluetooth remote you are away to the races. I've even paired up the TV with my PS5/PS4 controller, making going through menus even faster.Aerial/Terrestrial TV - It offers these services, but who really uses them these days.The one fault I may lay at the feet of TCL - again, if you are watching terrestrial TV or older content, the way TCL TVs process this image is not ideal so you will get a very distorted image.Beyond that, this is a steal of a TV! I just wish I had waited till the Amazon Prime Day deals - £85 cheaper! Oh well.Buy this TV, you will not be disappointed with your purchase, this rivals the big boys.

Picture quality is outstanding. Sound is very good.Has great selection of apps.The leg screws weren't very good but thankfully it'll be going in the wall.The remote has a weird lay out that will take time getting used to but as a whole magnificent TV for the price.After a few days use here's my thoughts. The processor could be faster there's a slight lag but for home use it's no hindrance.Still getting used to the remote lay out. The home and the microphone button should be swapped round they're awfully placed. Actually as I'm typing this in looking at it the whole remote isn't greatly designed.The TV genuinely is so good for picture and sound. And the eye comfort option for the evenings is a great help.

Impressive contrast and colour, clean cut seamless screen, google tv is also quite impressive-no laggy experience, fuss free set up, I am quite a picture quality maniac and I found the tv is amazing! Thou sound system is just a-ok level, yet still acceptable. Totally recommend for someone who wants a quality product with decent price.

The media could not be loaded. Why did you choose this product over others?:Tlc TV now clutching and flickering. Had it less then two months.....no warranty and short return window. Will try request support otherwise I would of returned it. I have tried a power drain and reset....nothing

I bought this after a poor experience with the Hisense U6N.The TCL is a league above the Hisense, after a few weeks use. When set up/calibrated, the TCL delivers an outstanding TV picture. I use settings as follows "Movie" preset, Brightness 15, Contrast 62, Colour 60. All motion/clarity settings are off. Everything else is per the "Movie" preset option. For me, this is ideal watching TV in a darkened room with SDR material. I obtained these settings using a Spears & Munsil calibration bluray disc. The image really is fantastic. The black levels are inky dark. It really is far better than I had hoped for.The sound through the TV speakers is perfectly adequate, but I tend to use headphones connected to a headphone amp which in turn is connected to the Optical SPDIF of the TV.All the smart functions work well and are well laid out. BBC Iplayer was a cinch to get working etc.The TV has regular updates, so TCL are constantly improving their user experience.The panel has virtually no DSE (Dirty screen effect). I could have been just lucky here. This DSE problem is very common these days and it's best to run a Youtube video which runs a "Grey uniformity test" just to see if your own TV has any issues.Viewing angles are very good, unlike so many others in this price range/technology level.I am delighted with this TV, which has vastly exceeded my expectations. It is very highly recommended.
