A good choice
Installed a 2 inch 100 mesh filter on the 1 1/2 output line of a lake-water irrigation system. Pump is 1.5 hp. Wanted to be sure not to loose output volume due to the filter. To be clear, the valve only flushes heavy sediment accumulating in the bottom. You still have to remove the filter to clean it. BUT, it cleans very easily with just a spray hose. If I had a bigger budget I'd have ganged a second one with finer mesh so I don't have to clean the filters on my drip lines.

Works well
I Installed this on the well we water the garden and blueberries with, filters the sand and sediment out to prevent stopping the drippers up. Easy to flush out. If you have sand this is what you need.

It does what it says
Solved my sand problem. I was getting a lot of sand in My Water from my well. This filter traps the sand and rocks that were plugging my faucets and messing up my toilet. I use it as the primary filter ahead of a couple of paper filters. It is easy to clean and durable.

2” Rusco water filter revie
The filter arrived quite fast. Like the feature of transparent casing that allowed observing the sediments to get it flushed down from the bottom. The only thing that is a problem was seating the filter into the top main house since the O ring keeps sliding out partially and get squeezed outside. I had to use some Vaseline ointment but that didn’t help and then used a screwdriver to push it in. Probably having a different design or a tighter O ring can solve this problem.
