Excellent Moisture Absorption for Filament Storage
I’ve been very impressed with the Slice Engineering 2lb Activated Alumina Desiccant. It arrived quickly and the container makes it easy to pour and refill smaller holders without making a mess. Compared to orange indicating silica gel, this absorbs more moisture and seems to last longer before needing to be recharged. The tradeoff is that it does not change color, so you will want to monitor humidity levels with a hygrometer rather than relying on visual indication. I use this in 3D printed spool desiccant containers and in my AMS desiccant holders, and it has worked extremely well. Humidity stays low and filament performance has been consistent. To recharge, I dry it in my AMS HT using a high temperature safe container at full temperature for a couple of hours, and it is ready to go again. If you want a higher capacity desiccant solution for filament storage, this is a great option and I would definitely recommend it.

Very effective at removing moisture
I switched to activated alumina for my 3d printing needs and don’t regret it. Sure it’s more expensive than silica per pound, but this stuff works really well, and I find it keeps moisture levels lower for a lot longer than silica did. There’s no color change to indicate it’s time to dry it out, but I’m running a hydrometer for that. I don’t have to worry about the toxicity of the chemical makeup when cooking off the moisture to recharge like I did with silica. I ended up buying a second 2lb bottle, as one contained a little more than what fills up all the dry pods in my BambuLab AMS + 4x reel pods. So now I can dry/recharge a batch ahead of time and swap it out quickly to minimize the time it’s exposed to the open air.

Works better than silca
I have tried their hotends and hated them for clogs. That said, this works really well. It took my humidity down to 8%. The other stuff kept it at 16%. There is no color indicator, so you have to pay attention to humidity levels. I have not had luck with drying this in the microwave, but an oven works well. Overall, great stuff. There is enough in the bottle that you can dry a batch and put the rest to use. Five star product made by an American company.

Great for filament drying - Bambu Lab AMS
I use this stuff in desiccant boxes in a Bambu Labs AMS to keep my filament dry during printing, and it works quite well. I run a cheap hygrometer in the AMS to get a rough estimate on the humidity in there, straight out of the bottle this stuff immediately kept my AMS humidity to 8-12%, after a few months of use it has crept up some but it's still working and I intend to dry/recharge it and use it again.

Desiccant does not get better than this.
Simply put, this stuff is amazing. Within minutes my RH dropped from 40 to 32, by the next morning was sitting at 26 in both my Creality CFS units. Never seen it this low. The best I got off the stock desiccant packs was 34. I was stunned. Love that it is a Made in the USA product. Nice work.

Inconsistent (sub par) pebble size.
Received the product and while it works very well for drying this specific batch seemed of mixed quality in terms of bead size. Very inconsistent in size and fairly small pebbles. I found another reseller that was cheaper per pound and better (larger) sized. So, depending on your application where size is important (tis what she said), this might or might not be the best selection. Not the best value but easy to use and works great.

Non-toxic, Alumina beads that will keep your materials or possessions super dry.
This is insanely powerful drying desiccant. I use it in the storage bins that hold my opened 3d printer filament. When it's fully charged, I have measured the humidity to be less than 1%. After a few months of opening and closing the bins in the humid south, my humidity sensors will let me know when I should "recharge" the desiccant in an oven at a sufficient temperature and time to remove all of the collected moisture. I really like this desiccant since it's non-toxic, so it doesn't cause issues with pets or little children. This is very durable and are hard to crush. They don't turn colors like other desiccants (which is often toxic), so a sensor is recommended to know when the humidity is starting to rise. It's very easy to use... just put 1/4cup in the bottom of a small bin or put in a breathable pouch or container. Best value for protecting my 3d filaments.

Works great and fast!
I just got my X1C couple months ago and learned about this keeping filament dry thing recently. I only print for personal use which is not often enough to justify buying a dryer in my opinion which would also take up more space in my home office, so I opted for the route of getting more desiccant that can recharge. It's been quite humid recently in LA, and with the AMS closed most of the time with bunch of desiccant packs, it's been about 35% humidity and the app shows C or D which is not ideal and it worries me since I've been seeing more stringing recently. It started raining yesterday, so I printed the desiccant boxes for the AMS and got this item with overnight shipping. I put them in the machine sometime early this afternoon, and slowly I can see my hydrometer number keeping going down once I placed everything in the AMS :) It's been not even 10 hours, and I opened the box couple times changing filaments, the Bambu studio shows it's "B" and my hydrometer shows 10%, X1C screen shows the AMS is 19%. Either way, it's way better than 30+ prior and I'm very happy about it. So far so good, easy to fill, I don't see any powder/residue when I pour into the boxes. Yes it's a little more than the silicone stuff but this works amazing and it's also rechargeable. I'm glad I gave this a try :)
