Q: Are these lights weatherproof and able to be kept up outdoors year round?

I mistakenly left these (still in the box) outdoors in a bucket. Heavy rains and cold came and I found them submerged, frozen in an ice block. We dried them out and they STILL WORKED. Kudos to manufacturer/designers!

Q: Is the globe covering the bulb plastic or glass?

The globe surrounding the filiment is glass. They are delicate too

Q: We have harsh winds. With the bulbs being glass, how durable are the bulbs?

We also live with very harsh winds and snow. I have them strung with very little sway to the wire so they can't hit anything and hardly move. Mine have been outdoors for a few years now and have survived beautifully. I am here to buy more!

Q: I bought a 25 foot strand and now need 100ft more, can i plug the 25ft into a 100 ft strand or how should do it

Consider that these are 5 watt incandescent bulbs, each 25 foot strand uses 125 watts. A hundred foot and one 25 foot strand together draw 625 watts or less than 5 amps. With the included 5 amp fuse, you should be good.
