We now have three amcrest cameras. We love them all. This one is a great camera. Being refurbished, I wasn't sure what to expect. It is amazing. Works like new. Easy to install and hook up. Video is very clear and crisp. On a side note: if you need customer service, amcrest is awesome at serving customers. We are very pleased with this purchase.

I've owned nearly a dozen Amcrest cameras of various models and this is a good quality one for outdoor use where you can work with a "fixed" view (no pan or tilt). Amcrest software for this camera is a bit finicky so I don't recommend it for novices. With patience, it will work well and does not require a cloud subscription as you can store the images locally on an SD card for just a few dollars 1-time cost. It work with the Amcrest View Pro application on phones and an aging Amcrest Surveillance Pro on PC's (this really needs updating as it locks up frequently when used as a monitoring station for multiple cameras simultaneously. (last update July 2016 V1.14.1).

Brought this as a factory referb, and honestly it looked like it was never used, but to be safe I did factory reset myself. This is my third Amcrest WiFi cam to upgrade at my longest view. Picture is better / sharper than the 3mp I had. Since I’ve done this a couple times now, adding it my existing group was a breeze. The 3mp cam still works fine and it will get re-hung in a different place. If there is one thing I can say about these Amcrest cameras is, once there setup, they’re very reliable, always working with no fuss or network loss. Give them the best WiFi signal you can, if you’re on the outer reaches of your router, consider adding a WiFi extender in between for smooth video playback.

This is the second Amcrest camera I am running. It replaced a Samsung SNH-E6440BN outside for my backyard. The camera quality is really good, the lens angle could be better. The Samsung was 130 degree compared to Amcrest's 118 degree.

I love amcrest, my entire home camera system is amcrest — but the wifi connection on these cameras is terrible; it says full wifi signal and the video feed barely loads, even on the absolute lowest resolution. I would not recommend these cameras.

This camera is fantastic with a plethora of configuration options. Image is great, durable build, and great night vision.Complaints:The desktop version of the software requires you to install an extension in chrome then open and amcrest version of a chrome tab in order to view the feed.The mobile version doesn't have the best system for replaying feeds/events. I wish I could easily and quickly see a snapshot of the motion detection, but the snapshots are slow to load when there are motion events.Overall, it's a great camera and if you are comfortable with network configuration then it will be great.
